Now that our DD is 9 months, the hubby & I want to try for baby #2. we are hoping to have them close in age. but what I want to know is "does anyone have any tips about handling a toddler and a new born?"
OUR FAMILY is a circle of LOVE! TOGETHER we are UNBREAKABLE! FAMILY is FOREVER! There's a RAINBOW of HOPE after EVERY STORM! And a POT-OF-GOLD at the END of EVERY RAINBOW!
I can't tell you on having them that close in age, but I have a 3.5 year old ds and 9 month old twins. I got pregnant about 2 weeks after ds' 2nd birthday. It can be hard. My advice is just to make sure to include the older one as much as possible. DS helps get diapers, wipes, toys and anything we need for the girls. He helps hold the bottles when daddy feeds them. If we get the twins something, we try to get him something too. When they're sleeping, that's our one on one time together. It becomes routine for all of you. Our ds loves his sisters. It takes a lot longer to get 3 ready to go, so I have to give myself extra time going anywhere. It's great to see the bond that ds has with the girls though. He can make them smile and laugh when nobody else can. It's great watching them all interact together. Good luck!
Re: Any tips for trying again???
You are braver than I am. It'll be nice to have them close together in age though. I'm going to wait until LO turns at least one.
Happy baby making :-)
