Three day after his due date, I woke up at 6am with contractions. Since I'd already been to L&D once with contractions but sent home for failure to progress, I decided to just go about my day as planned and talk to my OB at my appointment at 8:30.

I went to my appointment and they did an ultrasound first to check fluid levels. I then saw my OB and told her I'd been having contractions 5 minutes apart, so she checked me. She told me to go ahead and walk over to L&D: I was at a 5-6 with water bulging. She said to go slow so it didn't break in the parking lot.

I called my husband to come up, and got settled into to room at 9:15ish. He arrived at 9:25 and the OB broke my water at 9:45.

After 3 pushes, no meds, and my telling the nurses, "no, it's not pressure, it's the ring of fire and my body is pushing so you should call the doctor", Remi burst into the world at 10:21am.

He was 7lbs 2oz and 20inches long. Instant love, I tell ya. His big brother absolutely adores him, which is a huge relief to us!
