WWYD: contractions every 6-8 minutes lasting around 50 secs. They said they wouldn't stop labor after 35 weeks, which I am. Would you go in or ride it out to see if they fizzle out again?
How long have they been going on?
Only 30 minutes, but they are stroooooonnnnng. I'm leaning toward wait it out
Eek! I guess if they won't stop them, the big concern would be making sure you don't wait too long if it is real labor. Are you far from your hospital?

Mine go away when I take a hot bath or lay down. Have you tried either?

Do you have a line you're supposed to call before going in? My hospital has a first nurse line that they use as a primary triage. That way they can tell you one way or the other and even if they want you to wait, you're on their radar if it doesn't fizzle.
I'm about 20 minutes from the hospital. I've called my brother to be on call to come spend the night with DD. If they're still going on in an hour, I'll head in. Labor was moderators short (12 hrs start to finish) with DD, so I don't want to wait until they are 3-5 minutes apart.

I would wait a little bit and see if you can get them to stop. I would hate to go in and then be turned away... Which is probably why I only went to L&D once... When my contractions were only 2 minutes apart...

Ride it out... batb.... shiwer... stretch....nap.... go for walks.
I vote calling in, purely because you aren't at term yet. My midwife said any labour before 37 weeks, call regardless, just to be safe. How are you feeling now?
Well, they slowed down enough for me to get some sleep. They're still coming every 12-15 minutes now. So obviously not hospital worthy, but if this crap keeps up for 4 more weeks I will lose it.

Eek - hang in there. I hope the go away so you can rest!
I've been having short, strong contractions all morning. Haven't started timing them yet because they only lost for about 30 seconds. They must be really strong because they feel insane even while on the oxycodone. If they get longer, I'll start timing and then call L&D. Luckily work is only about 10 minutes away from my hospital.
I haven't had a nice reaction to the oxycodone since last night. I've had a terrible headache and have felt like puking since I took another dose this morning.
Just got a call from the doctor. My 24 hour urine came back and my protein is higher. They have decided I need to be induced in one week unless something happens before then. I am freaking out! I had a total meltdown after the call because I have to be induced again and so far my cervix isn't favorable. I know that can change in a week and things could go well, but it freaks me out that it's not favorable and I feel like it's going to turn into a csection and that is what scares me. Andplusalso I'm still not sure how to handle two kids. Why is this happening to me again? Why why why!!!!!
Had a doctor appointment yesterday and my doctor doesn't think I'm going to make it to my induction date on March 3st at 39 weeks. Baby has dropped and from the ultra sound this morning they say she is 7lbs. Having my membranes stripped next Friday if I don't go into labor this week.
@TKaiser91 Nooooooo! I've been hoping that someone would come back with no protein! I seriously hope LO takes things into their own hands and you don't have to worry about being induced. Induction sucks...

So I was having contractions for a minute a piece, about five minutes apart. Then I took a nap and I haven't had them since, but I'm having period like cramping. This is really looking like it's going to be a thing soon >.<
Thanks ladies! My husband is trying to convince me to have sex like crazy to help soften and get me ready. I can't decide if i should or not...thoughts?

@TKaiser91 Hang in there girl. I totally understand the stress you are under. DH is also suggesting marathon sex to get me "ready"...LOL.
My update: Very similar to @TKaiser91. Got a call mid morning to come in to the OB office. Was told that my 2nd urine test came back extremely higher than the first. My BP was also high in the office. Since my OB is out on medical leave, they told me to go to L&D and report to the on call OB to see about possible induction. I called my husband freaking out. He gets off his shift and drives to the hospital. The new OB wants me to do a final 24 hr urine test and then make her evaluation from there. Baby is doing fine and labs came back fine. I have to drop the jug off at the hospital tomorrow and I will know the results the same day. So tomorrow I will know if induction is a sure thing.
This. But I will say the last we fooled around, I only half enjoyed it because I couldn't stop thinking about how much my ass was jiggling and how it has never been like that before So much action today, good luck to all! I'm excited to see some squishy new babies!
Can I just say that I envy any of you who are getting it on right now? DH has been way too pissed off for anything to happen. Or he falls asleep on me--or vice versa.

Whenever we try, it's like Awkward Town USA. My belly is SO BIG and I literally can't find a single position that doesn't feel super awkward. Or that, you know, allows me to breathe.

Me too! And one time that I tried, I started getting a bad foot cramp during sex. My husband doesn't even seem to want to try anymore
I actually had the best sex since getting pregnant last weekend...kind of funny because the actual intercourse lasted maybe 2 minutes because we've been so sporadic the last two months. But lots of making out and foreplay and a couple o's beforehand = happy me. Hoping to try again this weekend because damn is it a lot of work for a weeknight.
Re: Official Labor Watch Thread
Oh and how far are you from the hospital?
I second calling L&D to see what they say.
@Bubbles3592 Thinking of you and your baby!
