I know the third tri has reared it's ugly head and many of us are getting little sleep and feeling super uncomfortable but there's gotta be something awesome happening for someone this week. Who or what is winning?!?!
I'm kind of winning because I didn't abandon my healthy salad and pita lunch in favor stress-eating some bagels and cream cheese. I ate my healthy lunch!!
Full disclosure: I have to start work at 6am tomorrow which means I will get my break around 10, so I'll probably get the bagels then. I'm only a human pregnant lady after all.
I made a big lasagna and quinoa/veggie salad - pretty much enough cooking for the rest of the week. It's a win to have a dinner that DH, the twins, and I can all eat, especially with just a zap in the microwave. Win!
I'm also winning because my contractions and preterm labor concerns are doing well this week! 28 weeks is a huge milestone for all of us, but for us preemie Mamas, it can mean making it through the micro-preemie zone. Our 26wk twins were just 1lb 12 oz and 1lb 13oz. This baby should already be past the 2 lb mark!! Win baby!
Mama to Three Girls: Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
DH. Here I am a complete mess bc I got my crappy glucose results today and he's been absolutely amazing in trying to make me feel better. He went grocery shopping during lunch, made me lunch and some snacks, keeps getting me water, went for a walk with me, and is researching things that may help me on the 3 hour test.
He keeps reminding me no matter what happens, everything will work out and that the goal is a healthy baby. I'm really, really glad I have his support in this bc honestly I would be curled up in a ball in bed right now if it weren't for him.
My win for the day was getting a follow up ultrasound to check heart functions since he was too active last time and finding out everything looks perfect and we are officially head down already and 3lbs! ❤❤❤❤
Walmart.com is winning today.....got a bunch of nursing bras, camis, t-shirts,massive sleep shorts for $69 (I think I got 11 items total). Free shipping. Also, Motherhood is winning because they had an additional 30% off sale and I got three more dresses for $40. Pants are hard. Yea online shopping!
As much as work is WTF, home life is winning! Once I picked up my son, the day completely turned around. I made parmesan crusted haddock filets with brown rice and green beans and my son gobbled them up. Then, we worked on his flashcards and journal when I noticed a bunch of very brown bananas on the counter. Instead of freaking out, I decided to make 2 dozen banana bread muffins. My son and I had a blast and we did counting and sang and danced around the kitchen. Now we are cuddling before he goes to bed. This is heaven!
Found out was diabetic with pregnancy. When I first started this pregnancy, my A1C was 11. They checked it again and I got my results back today and I'm down to 6.8 and the doctor I talked to today is really happy about that, but we still have to work on my fasting blood sugar levels which are getting super crazy lately even with 2000mg of metformin AND 30units of insulin daily. Going to have to increase the insulin i know.

I don't know how to say this without sounding weird but everyday that I log in and see that you're one day further removed from your last pregnancy delivery milestone makes me so happy! I'm rooting for you and that baby to stay in as long as possible!
Even tho WW was yesterday I am going to celebrate today because this is the first time in a LONNNNNG time my office has been quiet. It is glorious and I am going to enjoy every minute of it today. #Winningonthursday

That1didntcount Thank you so much for saying that!! It made my day This May Mama group has been such a great support during an anxious pregnancy. But so far, a little anxiety is way better than preterm labor - any day!

I know it's a day late but it is a win from yesterday. My DH won yesterday. He went out last night and got me a Shamrock Shake from McDonalds. It was delicious.
