    CD:  4

WAYDTGKU:  Round 2 of Clomid + TI, temping, starting OPKs next week, ultrasounds forever, HIO when we feel like it and then when it's time.

R/R/CS:  For anyone keeping track, I hopped from from CD1 yesterday to CD4 today. I decided to go back and call Friday CD1 since it was slightly heavier than spotting. I think AF is just going to be really light this month as I think it's pretty much done at this point, back to just spotting.

@MrsBinPA thanks for the input yesterday! I'm going to let my RE know what I did and hopefully she is in agreement, too. I had to make a decision and I decided to start the Clomid last night. Side note, have you noticed Clomid making your periods lighter at all?

GTKY:  what are you obsessed with/superfan of?  Our major league baseball team.

    CD:  38

WAYDTGKU:  pnv bbt cm OPKs until I ran out on CD 33

R/R/CS:  if anyone doesn't mind doing a CS? This is by far the latest I've ovulated in my 7 months of trying. Do you think CD 33 or CD 36 look more like O? If I change nothing and get another high temp, FF puts CH on CD 36. If I discard CD 36, I get CH on CD 33. There's no reason to discard CD 33 but I guess I'm hoping for CD 33 cuz I have a shot at least. DH and I were arguing all weekend and sex was not on the table when I was this annoyed with him. So yeah it will really suck if I got to CD 36 and got derailed by an argument.  :'(

GTKY:  what are you obsessed with/superfan of? Right now I'm obsessed with the Hamilton original cast recording. I visited NYC in October and tickets were about $600, so I couldn't go.  Hamilton is coming to Chicago in September and DH and I are definitely going. I'm also obsessed with my Erin Condren life planner. It's a whole wormhole you can get sucked into. I also love podcasts. Even though serial season 2 isn't as good, I still listen first thing on Thursdays.

WAYDTGKU:  Temping, tracking CM at FF, HIO

R/R/CS:  AF came a little early, which I'm actually happy about. My usual cycles are 28 days, but my first month of TTC was only 25. Really excited for a chance to properly hit my FW this month.

On another note, I did witness that drive by post last night and--it's probably PMS--but it did make me a little sad! Lol, my baby fever is a little high right now, I guess.

GTKY:  what are you obsessed with/superfan of? Online shopping lol. I love getting packages in the mail, and if left unchecked, can go crazy with ordering crap online.

  • @Megzb510 I hate to say it, but it looks like CD36 to me. Did you stop doing OPKs after CD33? If there is no reason to discard that low temp on CD36, I wouldn't. Even with O on CD36, you still have -3 so you aren't totally out.

R/R/CS:  As much as it sucked to see the temp right before AF started, it was kind of exciting (I'm weird I know lol) because I started a few hours after I temped. With this being my first month really temping it was exciting to be able to start seeing what my body's doing

R/R/CS:  I keep getting patches of EWCM, so nothing too substantial. DH and I are just going to HIO EOD this month. I have an appointment on March 6th with my GYN in order to test hormone levels. If things are wonky, we'll try some progesterone. If everything looks okay, I'm going to "ask" (he said he would just give me a recommendation - but I have to remind him) for a recommendation to see an RE. I have the name of one that his office usually recommends, but insurance won't help pay for it until he officially recommends her. We shall see.

    WAYDTGKU: charting everything, acupuncture, waiting....

R/R/CS: Rant 1: I'm starting to get nervous about my trip. We leave at 9am on Wednesday and I work 12 hour shifts today and tomorrow, so I don't have much time to finish getting things together. I left all the arrangements of our vacation to DH and he did a good job, but when I double checked everything yesterday I realized he'd missed that we need two passport photos for our Cambodia visa. It would've been awful to get there and not be prepared after a whole day of flying. Makes me worried that he forgot something else important.
Rant 2: I'm nervous about BBT and traveling to the other side of the world. Flying, time zone changes, and jet lag will probably mess up my chart. Also with our work schedules these last couple days before we go we're going to be thrown off our EOD BDing. I don't think I'm going to O any time soon, so it should be ok.

GTKY:  what are you obsessed with/superfan of? Hmm...besides TTGP? I'm going to go with nursing. I love my profession.  I end up working on projects for work at home because I enjoy it, and I love reading my journal subscriptions. **Side note rant**  *edited, words*

My coworker who has a week old baby at home came back to work today. I am so happy for him and his wife (this is their first) but also it is rough to hear him keep talking about her. I asked him how everything is going because I would have felt like a jerk for not asking (we are all friends in my office) but it is just rough. They got pregnant their first cycle trying so it's hard for me to not be jealous. Ahhh such complex emotions! I'm glad I'm headed out for a conference today because that baby will literally be the only thing everyone is talking about for at least the next few days. (I'm the only young person in my office without children, so people like to talk about this stuff). le sigh.  Not to mention that now that he is back and that baby is born, cue everyone else starting to ask me when we're having children since I'm the ONLY other young person in the office and obv next in line. Ugh. My boss knows we're TTC but no one else does.

  • @Megzb510 I think it's hard to say - were your OPKs getting darker around Day 33? With your EWCM, you could have had a smaller surge at 33 before your ovulation surge at 36, or there's a slight possibility 33 could still be it with a slow rise - I've certainly had dips post-o. If I didn't look at any of your other signs and just looked at the temp rise, I'd say Day 36 for sure, so that is likely it as the temp rise is more reliable than anything else.

R/R/CS:  Likely missing fertile window this month bc of husband's work but I thought I'd jump in over here as it's been a while. We started testing with an RE (I am over 35), but it's a bit on hold because of his travel schedule. We're moving through it slowly.

I hope my cycle will stay on par with last - although it's long I don't care I just want it more predictable instead of just a big guess like the past. Finally found RRL tea so between that and all the vitamins I'm hoping with good timing and a (FX) longer LP we can get something to stick lol

  • Sorry for posting and running today - it's my first day at my new job! So definitely will not be doing any personal stuff online today and limiting phone time. :) Hopefully it goes well.

    Month/Cycle:  6/6 (2/2 TTCAL)

    CD:  20

WAYDTGKU:  I am pretty sure I O'd, just need one more high temp tomorrow.

R/R/CS:   As I said above, today is my first day at my new job! I hate being the new person - everyone is always watching you under a magnifying glass. Hopefully I don't fuck anything up too badly. :)

I was finally a victim of FF's weird new algorithm this cycle with my wonky temps (in the Advanced method). First it tried to tell me I O'd on CD 14, and then again on CD 16, so I switched it over to FAM. Stupid FF, idk what happened to it. I'm convinced I O'd on CD17 because of weird belly pains and cm, but temps suggest CD 18. It doesn't really change our timing much either way, so whatever. I think after 4 dpo I'm not going to temp again until 11dpo. I think it will be a nice break.

Oh, I also wanted to say that I had acupuncture on CD 15, and went on to O on CD 17 or 18. Last month was my first cycle AL and I didn't O until CD24. I normally O on CD16-19, so idk if my body just got back to normal on it's own or if acupuncture helped speed things along. Anyway, this is just an anecdote, but I just wanted to share since a lot of us a trying it out right now.

GTKY:  what are you obsessed with/superfan of? My username would suggest Doctor Who, but I wouldn't really say that I'm obsessed. I like it just as well as I like Harry Potter, my dogs, Japanese ramen... I guess I might like Star Wars a little more than I like anything else (besides my dogs).

    Month/Cycle: 4/2

    CD:  36

WAYDTGKU:  temping, Metformin, HIO EOD or E2D, CM, occasionally OPKs

R/R/CS:  Well, CD 36 and still no sign of AF or cross hairs. My chart is wild looking. Don't think I'm responding at all to the Metformin, which I began at the beginning of January to even my cycles out. My plan is to give my OB/GYN a call in mid-March. (She wanted to see me after 3 months on Met anyway.)

I'm not quite sure what the next step is...would I be jumping the gun to request a RE? My cycles have been highly irregular and long since I stopped BC back in July. (My last cycle was Provera-induced, after 82 anovulatory days.) An ultrasound back in Jan. revealed I have "multiple enlarged follicles".

@sldp123  What has your experience been like so far on Clomid? How long were you TTC before you started?

GTKY:  what are you obsessed with/superfan of?  ummm....do cats count??

@MissAmeliaPond  I love my dog like that too! I totally get it

@BerkeBaby  my conference is for my state college admissions/high school college counseling organization (IACAC--Indiana Association for College Admission Counseling) and it's in Indianapolis (I am a college admissions officer). This is our yearly conference where we get together and share ideas, talk about the profession, network, and have a whole bunch of fun!! You will have fun at your conference. It is a nice chance to get away, meet like-minded people, and learn a whole lot of new stuff!!  My problem is always and will be keeping my food and drink consumption in check...there's always way too much delicious food at these things, not to mention social dinner outings. Ack!

@sammajane19 I did my first round of Clomid last month, which was cycle 8. We originally went to the RE because of a possible MFI issue (turned out it was fine), which is why we only waited 6 months. I'm 34. My experience with Clomid so far has been fine, except for the fact that I didn't get pregnant, haha. I didn't have any side effects on 50mg. I had a baseline and two follow-up ultrasounds before I O'd on my own. I had two follicles but they didn't get quite as big as they like to see, although my RE didn't think it was a huge concern. But she did bump me up to 100mg this cycle so we'll see how that works.

ETA If you are having long and irregular cycles, I don't think it would be unreasonable to request a referral, but I really don't have any experience with that. I'm not sure if that's something that is normally treated by your OBGYN or if it's recommended to see a RE earlier.
