I kiss my parents on the mouth. For me, it's the same thing as breastfeeding... not sexual at all. We use some body parts for multiple purposes.
I bathed DD last night and then fell asleep on the couch for almost 2 hours while she watched Netflix! (I'm blaming new meds) I didn't put her to bed until after 10pm
DH has friends staying with us this weekend and I didn't clean a damn thing yet (see above). I did strip the guest bed and threw the linens in the laundry before I left.
I have been farting freely at school. This stage of pregnancy is making me a fart bomb and I have no fucks to give about letting them rip. I don't feel even a little bit guilty or weird because my students are fart machines and we diffuse essential oils all day long to keep the room smelling fresh. Plus, growing a human is hard enough. I'm not also going to hold in all the gas my body is making because of that human.
Last night, I repeatedly hit my sleeping husband with a pillow because his breath was SO sharp from whatever he ate during the day that it KEPT ME AWAKE. Pregnancy nose be damned!
If I don't talk to you on a daily basis, and I post something on my fb for example my belly buds coming in yesterday, guess what? I really don't care what your baby likes for music. You were 4 years above me in school, I don't know you, I don't know your life so I really don't care that your kid was into Marvin Gaye. Point is, I don't care about rando's babies.

Some mornings I hear the dog and he jumps on me to get me up, and I get up to pee and then throw dog on DH so he can take him out. Because I know that I'll fall back asleep faster if I don't have to wake up enough to function that well.

I actually do enjoy looking at ultrasounds and guessing the sex as long as the following conditions are met: 1) it's on a specific "guess the sex" thread, you don't get your own special snowflake post 2) its far enough along that sex can be determined (get out of here week 9 ultrasounds) 3) it's an angle that this information can be determined 4) you correctly use the term sex AND understand there is, in fact, a difference between sex and gender
Pick your ignition source ladies. I know I deserve it this week.
I think our board has gotten really boring lately. And lurking on the puppies and rainbows months around us is even worse. What happened to all of the controversy?
Must have. All of us that are left are too smart to start a special snowflake name post once a week, complain about someone wanting to throw us a shower or give us a gift, or start a photo included mucus plug thread.
Trolling 2nd/3rd tri boards for MUD posts to laugh at is my new favorite.
I may or may not be that helicopter parent on the playground. Until my DS has had more experience on the equipment, I don't feel comfortable sitting on a bench too far away to catch him if he fell. Last weekend he was collecting sticks off the ground and lining them up in a pile, so I gladly took a break and watched him do that, but the minute he starts climbing those steps up to the slide, I'm back to within a 2-foot radius of him. I know I need to let him fall and get hurt so he can learn, but he hits his head enough playing at home, so I'd prefer for him to not get any extra bruises at the park until he's had some practice climbing, etc. Also, he doesn't go to daycare (my mom watches him during the week), so I feel like I need to be around him to correct him if he's mean to other kids. He'll say, "No" and try to push another kid out of the way because he doesn't want to share the slide or the tunnel. Am I being uptight?
Note: DS is 22 months... so, not sure when people consider it keeping a safe distance and when it's hovering/overbearing.

is 3rd tri any good? It seems slower than 2nd tri. Is march still over there peeing on all the posts?

I'm surprised no one made a comment about @quartz02 and her to foreskin or not to foreskin FFFC.
I feel like I don't want to touch that one with a ten foot pole. I won't think about anyone else's baby's foreskin choices and I hope they don't think about mine.
I know that argument will probably come up sooner than later, but I'd kind of like to hide in a corner until it's over.
The pre-pregnancy Old Navy button up shirt I am wearing today is hinging on crop top territory...I am grateful for layering tanks and I am in denial about needing to buy overpriced maternity shirts. Lame FFFC. I still get shellac manicures and my hair highlighted whilst pregnant...Is that more juicy?

I have never understood the debate. It is your kid and your decision. I don't care what a bunch of strangers think about.

I don't pay attention to which month they are from- but there's some good induction preterm for comfort reasons that are entertaining. And also the girl who wanted to be induced on leap year so she could prove to her kid just how much she loved it and give it two birth days every four years- can't make that shit up.

damn stuck in QBF. I vote no- I got full on color at 15 weeks. Can't give up everything !
@soberkfell - If it makes you feel better, I'm the same way at the park on the jungle gym. DD is a bit of a daredevil .
I feel like there's a difference between hovering and making sure they're playing safe when they're that little, though. One time DD actually slipped and fell off the steps going up and her hood got caught during the fall, so she never actually hit the ground. My heart about stopped - it scared the shit out of me.
As for the circumcision opinions, I am team #WhatWorksForYourFamily and #NoneOfMyBusiness I am having aboy, and our mind is made up. I do not plan on telling if we do or do not. There is so much research for it and against it. Even the AAP is very neutral in saying 'hey, there are some great reasons to do it, but if it is not your your family, then that is fine too'. I can find the actual in for (again) if wanted.
1) one of my students ALWAYS wants to tell me stuff (like today, it was how she wanted to be so sure she did her homework that she almost did it twice!) and I don't care.
2) I'm really not that bothered by people's interchangeable use of sex and gender. (This is true for many other things too though, to be fair, like Black vs. African-American ...although my feelings on the latter are an entirely different topic.)
1) I'm now curious about KASG's opinion on black vs AA
2) I caved and did the panorama screening. I never do any screening. But the science was interesting. So I did it. DH likes to be prepared anyway. And in want to compare sex results against the anatomy scan in a few weeks.

I need @nerdchild to give me the tl;dr run down on the research like she did over on that smoking thread in 1st tri. My other FFFC: I'm making my husband decide on circumcision because I don't care either way and slogging through inconclusive research sounds terrible.

I mostly look in the background of HDBD pictures to see your home furnishings. I'm not that interested in the bumps. (Ugh.. that makes me a terrible voyeur. Oh well!)

The idea of these posts doesn't really bug me but I don't think I've ever seen a single one where I had any idea what I was looking at, like only people with the worst grainy blurry ultrasounds want a bunch of non-pros to make guesses? At our A/S the tech took a picture of the boy bits to show us and it was SUPER obvious, why are you showing me your horrible picture?

Haha - I'm not judging - I swear. I just love seeing how people decorate.
Mine might be weird. I hate pregnancy sex. And the fiance and I haven't done anything since finding out about this baby. We did with our daughter but.....just no. Poor guy but no. Maybe this is TMI XD
Also using having a cold as an excuse not to do much today. Go me.
@TM14 I am with you. I can count the number of times DH and I have done the deed since I got pregnant on one, maybe two hands. And the few times we have, it's because he takes such good care of me and doesn't complain about not getting any, so I try to surprise him once in awhile but I still don't like it. Like, at all.
We're having company tonight-thankfully just my sister and her husband-but I am feeling so miserable from this cold (like many of you other ladies-hang in there!) that I don't think I'll get up off the couch. Also knowing that DH and I set aside the afternoon to do our taxes make me hate everything today. I just want a bottle or four of wine..

Oh man, I'm the opposite. I mean, I don't want it ALL the time, but he can't get over the life growing in me. Like dude, suck it up! It's fine!
