Gabriel for a boy too trendy?

We've painstakingly narrowed it down to Gabriel or Simon, but most everyone I've run it by, SO & family and friends, prefer Gabriel. I'm worried its too common a name right now. I don't want my son in a class of three other Gabriels. What do you think?

    While I prefer Simon, I vote "Gabriel is perfect" I don't think you have to worry about it being too trendy or popular at all so if it's your favourite you should go with it.

    Gabriel is nms -at all. I do however LOVE Simon.

    3 different donors resulted in 1 PGS tested embryo and 1 fresh embryo
    2 embryo's transferred (from 2 different donors) on 5/10/16
    BFP on 5/15/16 at 5dp5dt
    Beta 1 = 81 at 8dp5dt, Beta 2 = 295 at 10dp5dt, Beta 3 = 891 at 12dt5dt. Beta 4 = 2114 at 14dp5dt, Beta 5 = 4916 at 16dp5dt, Beta 6 = 13252 at 19dp5dt
    Heartbeat at 6w5d 133BPM <3

    I got the idea that Gabriel is trendy because it's in the 20s range of popularity on nameberry. Simon is well in the 100s

    Neither are my personal style.

    That being said, I don't think classic names can be trendy. Popular doesn't equal trendy.

    Love Simon. Seems like every 3rd boys name post on here contains the name Gabriel so it seems popular, anecdotally.

    I'm around a ton of kids all the time. I don't know any Gabriels of this generation. It's a great name, and I love the NN Gabe.
