Thoughts on the name Juliette?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the name Juliette, our last name is simple and common like Smith or Lee. I can't decide if its complete love for me or if its just a touch too cliche (you know, that whole Romeo and Juliet thing). Thanks!

I second this but i don't have any major qualms with Juliette either. It is a beautiful name. Both to look at and to hear spoken. Well done.

I prefer the Juliet spelling as well. It's a beautiful name so I'd say go for it. I know what you mean though... my DD is Ophelia

I find it a bit frilly. Neither it or Juliet are my style really but I do find Juliet a bit more appealing.

It's nice. I also prefer the Juliet spelling. The extra -te seems unnecessary unless you are French.

I love it but if popularity is important to you, I think this name might be on the rise because of the popularity of the show Nashville on ABC. Just something to think about if you're looking for an uncommon name.
