Keep, Toss, Add: Boy Names

DH and I are expecting a baby boy in June. He will be joining big sister Cora. We're planning to use Michael as a middle name (not set in stone), and our last name is one syllable and begins with T. We have a list of names that we both like, though we aren't both necessarily very enthusiastic about the same ones. We could use some help narrowing down our list and adding some new names to consider, since none of these rise above all the rest for both of us.

Here is what we have so far, in no particular order:

toss: Evander as I only think of biting, ears and boxing
Felix: I just feel like there are better options
Addison: love you want to use it on a boy but the trendiness of it as a name of a girl just makes me roll my eyes hearing it at all

keep the rest with Elliott, Arthur and Gabriel as my favorite

add: Ezra, Josiah, Stanley, Warren and Phillip

Add: I wouldn't add any new names to your list. You have a lot of good choices aleady without overwhelming yourself

I like Elliott, Theodore, Wesley and Alexander. I think Elliott and Theodore go best with Cora.

Really not a fan of Felix, Arthur, August or Evander.

Agree with PP that with all the Addisons + Madison's out there I wouldn't use Addison on a boy.

Arthur is great, Alexander and Gabriel are fine.

Arthur - keep. I toyed with using this name for our DS but I just couldn't picture a little Arthur and NAF of the nn Art/Artie. If you can, go for it! It's a great name.

Wow! I'm surprised Evander gets no love here. Relatively uncommon names with roots in mythology normally seem to go over better on this board. Is the association with Evander Holyfield just too strong to overcome? We both like this one, but it seems like everyone we mention it to either assumes it's made up, or immediately thinks of Mike Tyson lol. Kind of a bummer!

I do think it's the whole Tyson thing at least for me. Anytime something is so heavily tied to a pop culture or "history" moment it's hard to disassociate
