@TattoosandLace we are in the same situation.  DD is 15 months.  We just started crib training this week.  It's actually gone relatively smooth so far.  Hoping it keeps working.  This LO will absolutely not be in our bed.  I hope you get your bed back someday soon!

We don't often co-sleep. It was so hard for DH and I to get restful sleep with DD in our bed. She actually sleeps WAY better in her own bed.
My bitch: I fell asleep in the car for a total of 15 minutes. My mouth was open and I wasn't super comfortable (in the car!) And DH took a picture of me, and teased me about it, so now I don't want to fall asleep again. Even though I'm exhausted and we will be spending the next 2 days in the car.  Wtf DH

@Weville, DS slept in a bassinet beside my bed.  He slept in the co-sleeper during the times when I was too weak/exhausted to move around much (we had a rough beginning), but neither of us slept much when he was in it. He is incredibly "well-bonded" with both myself and my husband.  Don't let anyone scare you into doing something you've decided isn't best for your family when it's not well-researched/proven to be the only safe, healthy option.  Opinions are not science, and babies are surprisingly flexible and incredibly different from each other.

My mom is on me about picking the diaper brand I want to ask for for my babay shower in June.. Well. I have no clue. Whatever works for the baby? Ugh. I am so clueless.

I wouldn't pick a brand... some babies are sensitive to certain brands and you might not be able to use them. How about Target gift cards instead? Or if it's a "bring a pack of diapers to enter a raffle" type situation (which I SO don't understand), how about asking for board books instead?

That's what my plan was but mon says gift cards are rude. So I guess have them bring whatever and go through returning what I can't use? I will figure it out I guess lol. The raffle idea sounds cute.

DH just volunteered to go to a week long work conference the week before I'm due. I  really don't want him to go in case something happens or I go into labor early and am home alone..no idea how to bring it up to him since he's so excited about it, and I want to be supportive, but I feel like that's cutting it a little too close..

Uhm this would be a no go for us. I went 4 days early with my first... Does he know that that's a possibility for you? How far away would be be?

schaze Supportive of him and his work is one thing, a week before you're due? Hellllllll nah.
ETA: DH totally read over my shoulder and said, "Whaaaaat?! You gotta be fucking kidding me!"

On another note, I don't want to even start this packing business. When is nesting supposed to happen?

@schaze That is absurd. I would raise hell. Especially since it's called an estimated due date for a reason... He knows when you could go into labor, and that should be his biggest priority.

@schaze That would be an "oh hell no" over here. My husband doesn't go out of town for work very often so it's not usually an issue but if he told me that I'd flip my shit.

Absolutely no way would I be okay with my husband volunteering to go away for work the week before my EDD. I would just point out that's too close and you are full term at the point he's leaving @schaze

**not sure why I'm stuck in the box**
my husband has to take two separate classes for work each lasting two weeks long over the summer. One in June and one in July. I'm due June 29th, but I know my OB won't let me go all the way to the 29th. As of now, I'll be home alone with DD and huge pregnant. We're working on a plan and might see if my sister can come visit during that time so I'm not trying to load my daughter and drive myself to the hospital in labor. He doesn't know where these classes are going to be yet. He could be an hour and a half from the hospital or he could be six hours away. I feel you. I really do.
