Hello! I love the name Max but I was wondering if you guys think it needs to be short for something. If so, any suggestions on your favorite full name for Max?

Usually I prefer to choose a full name but I think Max could stand on it's own. I would personally probably still use Maxwell though.

I personally prefer Maxwell with the nn Max but I also know a couple adults with just Max so I wouldn't side eye it

My son is Maxwell but we call him Max. We never refer to him as Maxwell and I think we probably could have gotten away with naming him Max by itself.

It could go either way. I know Max's that it is a nn but also Max is their full name. I think whichever you like better.

Both ways work. I do love max as a stand alone - have to admit when max zucker.berg was born I got worried that max would become super trendy. So now I think my preference would be a longer name nn max.

Both ways work. To some extent I think it depends upon your last name. I love Max but DH's last name is one syllable so in our case I would probably go with Maxwell because it sounds less choppy. With a longer LN it's less of a problem.
