Nursing while TTC: OPK question

This is my first month using OPK for active TTC. Also my first active cycle BF while trying to see if I can get a +OPK.

For those that have experience (if any have) -- does BF make it next to impossible to get a +OPK? Mine have been stark white if not a super faint line.

I'm using wondfo (finally!) & am still WTO. I know you don't have to have a positive OPK to ovulate or conceive, but I'd like to see one.

If you are BF while TTC (or have been in the past) did you have trouble with OPK?

Yes. I got a positive opk last cycle and I did conceive but, it was a CP. I'm still nursing my 14 month old and I got my first period back at 11 months. I night weaned to and I think that was how I got my period to resume. Hope this helps. And my positive OPK was a wondfo. I tested 2x a day morning and night to catch the surge.

thank you. I'm going to add more testing times. I try at 2pm but I'm adding one session after dinner to see if I'm just missing the surge.

You can look at my charts from 2013 when I was breastfeeding. I ovulated about 5 days later than usual and my LP was short. But I was able to get positive opks. But I do think I got one positive which did not precede ovulation.

I have gotten positive OPKs but noticed that I usually catch my surge in the afternoon or evening. I usually only get a positive the day before and day of O(only on O day if I have a longer surge). Before that the lines are very faint.

I have been able to get positive OPKs when I was breastfeeding as well. I ovulated late and my LP was short for a few cycles as well. They stayed that way until I was completely done breastfeeding.

I hope I can nurse that long! I only made it 6 months the first time. This time I reached my 1 year goal I really hope to tandem nurse if I get pregnant again. Anyway, I was just curious.
