at least THAT is over

so I'm in a negative nelly state lately, and I'm trying not to.

I was looking at the 2nd tri board and someone's tracker had the blueberry and all I could think was "well THAT week was terrible, every time I saw the picture of the blueberry I thought I was going to throw up". I'm sure we all have many many things that we are going through but does anyone else have some  "at least THAT is over" things they aren't missing.

  • Oh god. The 17 weeks of all day every day MS. Going to work in tears because I couldn't eat or drink and was so miserable. That magical day when it was like fingers snapped and it was gone was the best day of my life. Lol

Omg I don't know why that picture of the blueberry is so disgusting. It made me gag every time I saw it too.

  • For me it was the hideous olive picture (I love olives BTW, but morning sickness made that bad!). The first 14 weeks of constant nausea are not missed at all!
  • Part of me is so happy this is our last baby. I just dont know if I could make it through so much morning sickness ever again, let alone with having 2 kiddos. This pregnancy has been rough on me and I forget all the time about those early months/first half of my pregnancy. This was a good reminder that although I may still be nauseous it's gotten a heck of a lot better then it was!

  • I'm so glad smells don't make me vomit anymore! The first 15 weeks I couldn't stand any "clean" smells. Soap, body wash, Clorox wipes etc. We also moved during that time so there was a lot of cleaning going on and it made me miserable!
  • I'm SO glad morning sickness is over with! I still periodically had it all the way up to 31 weeks. I'm glad I can eat vegetables and beef now, too. I had a major food aversion toward them.

My SIL threatened me and the (obviously still unborn) baby back before my appendectomy. She put me in the hospital and that's actually when we found out I had appendicitis. So I guess I have two.. 1. So glad my appendix is out and I'm healed from that. SO GLAD. 2. She FINALLY realized she's bat shit crazy for literally trying to kill me over not wanting her on my Facebook (which is ironic since the only reason I didn't add her was to not hurt her feelings with my strong views, as she calls them) and she's started some intense psychotherapy and medication. So at least that's over!!! Still don't like her, I don't have to, but I no longer fear for our safety.

ETA: I have 5 other SILs so baby isn't losing much by having one aunt that mom doesn't like.
  • I'm so glad I don't have to "hide" my pregnancy anymore (not like I could if I wanted to now anyway). Pretending to not be sick, making up excuses for not drinking, hiding it from work, and not feeling completely comfortable sharing the news (but bursting with it) before we were ready was so hard!

  • I love that I'm nesting now. I feel so organized and my house is so much cleaner! In the beginning I had no energy to do that kind of thing.
