Baby Names

Adrienne

Opinions on the name for baby girl?  Is it too 80's/90's?  Are there any nicknames that seem to compliment it?  I prefer the spelling Adrienne, but I have also seen it as Adrianne. I like it pronounced "Adri-en".  Just looking for thoughts and comments.  Thanks!

  • I like it. I'd spell Adrienne. With the e indicating your preferred.

Nn: Dria, Ari, Addy, Enny, Renny, Aria, Ryan, Ree
  • I wouldn't think that it's dated.  It's a very beautiful name.  Best ideas I can think for a nickname would be Ren/Wren or Ada, but I think that the name is gorgeous on its own and personally wouldn't use a nn!

  • I like it! I also like the nn Adri.
  • I like the name Adrienne. The only time I see an "a" instead of an "e" is Adrianna. I have heard of the nn Aid, which I love.

  • I like it and don't think it's 80's/90's at all. My cousins name is Adrianna and we call her Adri or Adge (pronounced like Age). I think it's really pretty!
  • I am biased because this is my name, lol. Spelled that way too. But for my two cents, I like my name a lot and always have. It was different but without being weird.

  • I love this name and don't find it dated at all. I worked with an Adrianne at my last job and always loved her name.
  • Since you like it pronounced as Adri-en I would stick with the Adrienne spelling. I pronounce Adrianne as it looks. Neither one sounds/looks dated to me. :)

  • That's my name, so I'm partial to the Adrienne spelling. It's misspelled as Adrian a lot but I love having the "girly" version. Nickname: Adi
