Does anyone else have names picked yet? With DS it was a constant argument / discussion with DH. We named him a few days after he was born.
This time I feel lucky! We both love Julia for a girl and Alex for a boy.

Re: Names?
With our son, we had names before we were even pregnant.
I have a feeling we will be taking a list of names to the hospital and choosing after the birth.
For a girl we think Meika. It is simple so no need to shorten it and it is beautiful. Meika is a German name, it was originally written Meike but plenty of people write it as Meika (it is pronounced the same either way, with an -a at the end) and that would be a nice touch for my German heritage.
We have no idea about middle names, neither of us even HAVE middle names so
But if it is a girl then it would be Meika Mayika, it is very similar so maybe it is a little weird. The baby's godmother is Congolese. The godfather I would let my husband pick one of his friends, so I don't know yet, it would either be Edwin, Edward or Joshua none sound too good with Luciano so maybe it is a silly idea

This time around, we had both boy and girl names picked out even before I was pregnant! Which is so weird for me - I'm pretty indecisive so "committing" so early is unusual for me...and I'm leaving my options open in case I do hear something I like better. But for now, it's Silas for a boy or Isla for a girl.
Side Note: Our boy name comes with a hilarious story... In my sleep deprived delirium after DD was born I had a crazy dream. In the dream, DH and I were watching TV and something on screen triggered a GREAT baby boy name in my mind! I turned to DH and said, "I just thought of the perfect boy name, in case we ever have a boy!" And he responded saying, "Me too!" (Apparently, in this weird dream, the same thing on TV prompted the same name in each of us separately.) I remember thinking in the dream that the name fit my criteria perfectly! (When selecting names in real life when pregnant with DD, I had a bunch of criteria I felt strongly about - I wanted a name that had a built-in nick-name and that wasn't popular but also wasn't unheard of.) I woke with this calming sense of relief that if we were to ever get pregnant again and have a boy, we'd have a name and not have to exhaust ourselves picking like we did with DD. As I drove to work that morning, I tried to remember what the name was - it was so perfect in my dream, after all! And all of a sudden, it hit me. The name in the dream was Pscience...like "Science" with a P...and I remembered saying, in my dream, "We can call him Psi for short!" Ummm...no... But that got me thinking about "Si" and "Silas" and it just sort of stuck...even two years later. LOL!
If it's twins, one will be named Logan (the boy if it's boy/girl twins) and the other will either be named Riley (boy or girl) or Harper (girl).
There's a very small chance that I may change my mind if it's just one girl and go with Harper (because I love the name and so do both my husband and my mom), but I've been dead set on Logan for years now.
The only problem I'm having is if we have twins and one is a girl and we go with Harper, I'm torn between middle names. I was originally thinking Elizabeth because I like the way it flows together, but I'm also really set on using Alexandra. The only problem is that Harper Alexandra would make her initials HAM and I'm hesitant to do that. My mom's maiden initials were ASH and then when she got married, they became ASS, so I'm a bit sensitive about awkward initials, although HAM is definitely better than ASS.

I way overthink names and so many girls names remind me of girls that I know and then I don't want to name my child that because I associate the name with that person. We are pretty traditional when it comes to names. And it takes us forever to agree on a name.
My girl favorites are Ava, Anne/Annie, Isla (although I like it pronounced eye-la and I feel like a lot of people would say iz-la). We named my daughter Mia (me-ah) and you wouldn't believe the number of people who call her Maya (my-ah). It drives me insane. As I was reading the comments, I saw the name Evelyn and I think I might add that to the list.

That said, all of our babies have had nicknames until birth: Little One, Nelo (short for new little one), Dumpling, and now Sprout. This keeps up from calling the baby "it" for nine months.

***Question towards the bottom***
I loved names even before finding out I was pregnant/TTC. I had a girl and boy name picked out for awhile but now that I am pregnant I am not 100% with the choices anymore. Girl is/was to be Amelia Dawn. FIL name is Don and they tend to pronounce his name Dawn due to having midwest/southwest accents. Boy is/was to be Zane Patrick. I loved the name Zane before the band OneDirection even existed. Patrick is our good friends name however we live in different states now and barely talk.
DH is bound and determined to follow and use the intials his brother and father/grandfather have, DAC. The kicker: DH intials are SMC. I don't feel like it is a big deal to follow DAC intials if he didnt get the same intials.
On top of that his choices for names (Boy names only) Deidrich and Donald.....No just no. Donald is his Grandfather and Don is FIL. I dont like either names. I want our child to have his/her own identity but I dont mind using realtives names as middle names.
I love the name Dawson but a old girlfriend named her 10 month old Dawson. We are only FB friends and havent seen or hung out in years. Would it be weird or stealing to use that name?
Girl names I am falling in love with Everly, Willow and Harper and like 12 more names that I wont list.
