I hated the bouncer I used with my first 3 babies. It was too upright and their heads looked so uncomfortable. Any recommendations on a baby receptacle?
When they're very little the rock 'n play is good not only for sleep but also hanging out since it puts LO at an incline. Later we used the fisher price snuggy puppy (or something gawdawful like that) and DD loved the music.

That's the route I was thinking about going. Thank you!
For self propelled jumping, I liked the snugabunny bouncer for when DD was really little and the fisher price rainforest jumperoo for when she was a bit older.
I have bought this newborn to toddler rocker for every friend and family member that has had a baby since I was given one when Anabelle was born. It vibrates and has rocking chair legs. We used it literally from the time she was a newborn to now and she's almost 2 1/2. I've told her she has to give it to baby brother when he gets here. This was one of the few ways I could get a shower or house work done. She'd sleep in it and it's easy to pick up and move. Now, she sits and rocks in it to watch TV.
