C section in the morning

I know this is a bit of a dear diary post but I can't help it. I'm nervous! Have to be at the hospital at 6 am for an 8am surgery. With DD I had a vaginal delivery but this baby is transverse. I have butterflies. Can't believe I will have two kids and concerned about the recovery especially as DD is 18 months.

I am scheduled for a c-section 12/30 @8am also. This is also my 2nd baby but my first was an emergency c-section. I will pray for a speedy recovery and send positive thoughts your way for tomorrow's surgery. Just think tomorrow by 9-930 you will be back in your room with your new baby!!!

Awwe, good luck! I'm looking at a possible c section this time too. My daughter was born vaginally. I find out for sure if this little boy is still breech at my next ultrasound on the 4th. I really don't want a c section, but I've been trying to think of the positives. Knowing when its happening so you can get everything ready and get your older child settled in where ever they are staying. Not having to experience labor again. Not getting any more stretched out or torn down under, etc. I'm sure everything will go great!!!

Having just gone through a c-section this morning, the differences between my DS1 and DS2 are huge. For one, I'm not exhausted. DS1 got stuck and we ended up have the c-section after I had labored for 20 hours. For two, since I didn't labor at all this time, there is practically no bleeding, so I'm not loosing a ton of blood and energy that way. For three, it has been so relaxed that there is almost no stress emotionally, letting me deal with the stress physically. I honestly feel that the recovery with this little one will be not easier exactly because I do have an almost 3 yr old, but less difficult. One day at a time, and sometimes one hour at a time, and you'll get through it!
