  • This is probably a stupid FTM question but has anyone else had painful kicks yet?  I'll be 30 weeks on Friday and just had my first "ouch" moment and it just seems really early to me.  I can't imagine 10 more weeks of growing bigger and stronger if she's already managing "ow".
Ohhhhh yeah. If he's lying in the wrong position, I'll either get kicked or punched in the ovaries or cervix really hard. Don't worry- it shouldn't get TOO bad. Once they run out of room, they won't be able move or hurt us as much ;)

Yes! Getting kicked in (what I think is) the cervix is painful! Always makes me jump!

  • @VikingGirl12 that picture is so cute (once I figure out what I was looking at).  Glad she's doing so well!  Also, just an FYI, your name and birthday are visible on the sonogram, internet stranger danger and all.
AHHH!!!! I forgot to edit. And I'm so psycho about my identity. Thanks for the heads up.

It's funny that you posted this. I just went through a round of "owies" because mine is trying to bust out. She must be sick of it in there. She's like pressing super hard on my abdomen. DH even watched with amazement.

My mom always said my brother being transverse/breech made her last 4 weeks really painful so I figured I had another few weeks until the painful kicking started not even being 30 weeks yet and all.  Nope. My ribs are now apparently a place to wedge arms/legs (hoping legs) under and then give a nice big stretch.

No problem!  I did the same thing when I was all excited about my sonogram picture too, it's so easy to not notice that the picture you took has that stuff in there :)

    Yay for good news @VikingGirl12!
  • What's with the random picture of  a cupcake on the baby shower thread? That is her one and only post on TB and it's a picture of a cupcake. Ok......
I am seriously hysterically cracking up at this.

I know! There isn't even an explanation. Just a fancy ass cupcake. Like, is it from your shower or is it what your theme is? I don't understand.

  • Sleep. I need sleep. Last night sucked so bad in the sleep department. And getting up by 5 is for the birds. If I did not need to save my leave for after baby is born, I sooo would not be going in today.

Don't forget the quoted part... And yay for your amazing girl!
  • @VikingGirl12 glad baby girl is getting to stay put for a while longer!

@Sgoldberg247 I'm getting painful kicks too. Yesterday morning my OB said baby girl was breech, well she flipped later in the day and stretched out. She was kicking under my ribs and pushing on my cervix at the same time. It was awful!

  • Thanks for all of the well wishes everyone!

@VikingGirl12 Your US pic is so sweet! I'm glad everything looked good at the appointment.

@Sgoldberg247 I've had a few painful kicks/jabs/punches too. They really catch you off guard! Mine likes to brace herself on something in there, and then push real hard and you can see this giant lump where her bottom is sticking out close to my belly button.. its strange looking and feels like she is stretching my skin to the extreme.

  • Robert DeNiro is on the today show talking about how vacines cause autism and that that's how his kid got autism.  There is a video about it showing during the Tribecca film festival which he puts on every year.
This is why people believe that crap (btw my phone is trying to auto correct crap to @crdo)

I thought they pulled the anti-vax movie from Tribeca after the medical field made a huge stink about how inappropriate it was to put a documentary by Wakefield in such a public setting.  I also hate when people use their public status to push things that they have no clue about.  Ugggggh
I was only half paying attention.  I just pulled up the article, it is pulled.  But he was still talking about it and saying he wished it could be shown, but didn't want showing it to affect the festival.

  • @MrsB8214 yas!! I love that stuff!

@Sgoldberg247 UGH. Yes. I got woken up several different times gasping in pain because of the ninja chops to my cervix. Thanks, kid.
