He is one of those people who enjoys making others uncomfortable. He does the belly groping in front of my MIL and DH and no one is even phased by it because it's his normal behavior. But I'm DONE. I can't go through five more months of this!!!!!

@crdo that's actually great advice. I've been trying to brush it off but I just can't anymore. He's being totally disrespectful and I shouldn't feel obligated to worry about how it's going to make him feel when I shut it down. He's being a real ass.

Ugh creepy. And I very much dislike those people who love to make others feel uncomfortable. I have a few uncles like that. Or they'll do really stupid and immature stuff in public with the sole intent of trying to embarrass the people they're with. Sorry you have to deal with that!! I HATE being touched by anyone but my hubby.

Agreed. Acting out for the sole purpose of making others uncomfortable is ridiculously immature, and frankly stupid. Shut that down in any way you see fit, and never apologize for setting boundaries for your personal space.
  • My toddler had a meltdown because we had to walk from the car to the house before she could have her Wendy's kids meal. And she dealt with her feelings by trying to knock the bag of food out of my hand (I was juggling her and a gazillion other things). I caught it but every last one of my fries and chicken fingers fell out of the bag and onto the filthy parkade floor. Did I mention I was starving and close to vomiting from having an empty stomach??? Omg, I don't think I've ever been so mad at her. I feel bad for getting so mad at a baby but goddammit kid, that is NOT cool.

Anyway, DH gave me his meal and ate Pizza Pops instead, so all is well with the world again.

Oh man. I got angry for you!! Dropped fast food??? I might have cried. Your H is a wise wise man. Good on him. Was his meal delicious?

Man I love pizza pops. I can't ever just eat one.
  • Please don't stone me, but WTFrappuccino are pizza pops??
  • @samsonator and @crdo
You both hit the nail on the head. He is sooooo immature. He makes a lot of fart jokes and overly sexual remarks like he's 14 years old. Making other people's skin crawl is like getting a cookie for him.
  • Dude. Ferris Bueller just came on.

Unrelated- I really really want a chili cheese dog. And I HATE hot dogs.
  • @CourtJack- crazy. I've never seen them before. Are you in the US? I know @Emztron500 is in Canada.... We have pizza rolls (gag me)....
  • @WSU2015 my aunts husband is like that. He always tries to rub and kiss my belly. One time he was like I need to talk to the baby and was putting his lips on my belly while he whispered to it. I felt so creeped out and uncomfortable. I politely called my aunt out on her touching me all the time this week so hopefully she passes it on to him. Overall they are so nice and I feel bad saying something but I can't take it anymore. If it doesn't stop I will probably snap.

Oh and every time I get movie theatre popcorn I have to get a box of Reese's Pieces to throw in the bag. Soooo sooo yummy.

  • @CourtJack any idea if that is a Canada only product because it looks delicious and I've never seen it in the US.

I love the idea of warm popcorn and m&ms. How have I never tried this?!?

My random for the night..I spent 45 minutes debating with myself what I wanted for dinner. I finally called the only local place that can do gluten free burgers and fries right (I have Celiac so have to be super careful) to order myself an indulgent dinner. The receptionist refused to take my order for pick-up but spent 5 minutes explaining why (they were busy, she doesn't "do" take out orders on Saturday unless they are slow, etc., etc). Before she hung up she gave my a half-hearted "sorry". In the time it took her to bitch and explain and rant, she could have taken my fucking order. It wasn't even a delivery order, it was a pick up! I made myself a deli sandwich instead. :(

What?! I assumed you Americans invented pizza pops!
    @MamaNicoleof3 - yep I'm in Canada too!
  • Took my niece and nephew to see Disney on Ice Frozen, and it was AWESOME!!!!! The kids were dancing and singing, eating too much sugar..... Hah. One of my friends that I used to ice skate with actually is in the show. She does the pre-show stuff, and plays Young Elsa.

  • Whoa, it never occurred to me Pizza Pops were just a Canadian thing. Sorry guys. They're pretty delicious.

It's like bagged milk, something I will neverever understand.

It's early and I'm only half-awake, and this showed up right under my rant about my toddler, so I totally thought you were ranting about how "immature" my toddler is. Lol.
  • Whoa, it never happens that us Canadians have delicious products that are unavailable in the US. It's always the other way around! I haven't had a pizza pop in so long.

Neither have I! Adding them to my grocery list now, haha!

  • @catherinekate what about Smarties (the ones that are like M&Ms but better), ketchup chips, and poutine? Or Coffee Crisp? I should make a fortune exporting Coffee Crisp bars to the States.

    Haha!
  • Okay, I knew about ketchup chips and poutine, but Americans seriously don't have smarties or coffee crisp bars?Seriously??!
  • All this talk of salty sweet snacks is making me hungry. Speaking of which, chocolate chip pancakes are happening for breakfast this morning. DH keeps acting like a petulant child and asking me when i'm going to make them.

@WSU2015 I would be weirded out if even my husband did that, much more so if an in-law or some other random did it. SOO weird.

We have smarties, but they're not like M&Ms. They're like a small sugary candy that comes in a roll. And they're nasty. I have no idea what coffee crisp bars are, but they sound heavenly.
  • But for real. Milk in a bag. Please explain! Do you like pour it into a pitcher or what?!

Wait what?! What are these coffee crisps and why don't we have them in the US?!

Also, I have seen some restaurants, even in the deep south, that have wised up and put poutine on the menu. Yuuum.

Edit because I meant "poutine" not "pouting"

I live in Western Canada and we really only do milk in a carton or jug here. But I have encountered milk in a bag out East and basically people just keep a special plastic pitcher in the fridge that you drop the bag into.

Yes, the US smarties are basically diabetes-inducing pills. Blech.
  • Oh. Yeah. These are our smarties. They suck.

  • For the record I could go for some Tim Hortons now....
  • @ahernandez16 @samsonator yeah those are "Rockets" here and they're the garbage at the bottom of your trick or treat bag that you end up just throwing away.
  • This thread is so eye opening.  One I LOVE US Smarties.  Y'all are crazy.  Yum.  Also, I need pizza pops to get in my belly.  But I also think Pizza Rolls are delicious.

OH!  And when I was in elementary school my district experimented with milk in bags.  You popped a straw right into them.  It did not last long...  I grew up in NH, so now I blame Canada for this.

  • @Lilwatz Interesting...like a Capri Sun package full of milk?

I call these rockets (I'm also Canadian). Too funny!

Yes!  But without a straw hole.  You just picked a spot the plastic, poked and wished for the best!

I remember when I moved to my new school in like 5th grade they had the milk in bags that you punch the straw through and I was so flipping confused. I didn't drink milk for like the first week and the first time I did, I poked the straw all the way through... Ugh.
