Reagan, Rylee, and ...?

Expecting girl #3... Big sisters are Reagan Michelle and Rylee Mae. We really like the name Reese and it would be a no brainer to go with her siblings, except we're a little hesitant with our last name, Russell. Is it too much of a mouthful to say "Reese Russell?" Other names we've considered are Rebecca and Rosalyn. Middle name doesn't necessarily have to start with an M, but we're considering it since both sisters do. Their middle names are both family names and I'm out of family names that start with M. Piper would be a family name. Thanks ladies for your input!

Re: Reagan, Rylee, and ...?

  • Honestly I feel like if you have already used two R names with your surname and it didn't bother you why would Reese? It's a bit more s I guess. I also feel like it completes the sibset best.

  • Yep, the extra "s" sound in Reese is what's causing us to question it.  Otherwise, we really like it!

    Rosalyn Marie Russell.

Since you're going with an R theme for all three daughters + the R last name + the other 2 already have M middle names - you should just stick with that. That way daughter no.3 isn't left out from the RMR initials.

ETA: In hindsight, since your other daughters have masculine sounding names, maybe Reese is a better fit. Rosalyn is quite feminine.

I change my vote to Reese Marie Russell.
  • I also think it's the "s" sound that's bothering you.  I like the suggested name Reeva because it fits well with Reagan and Rylee -- same style.  Best to avoid a very traditional name like Rebecca.  What about Ruby or Reba?

  • I kinda like Reese Russell.  I think the name flows well and has a cute ring to it.

I know other PPS suggested Reeva which is really pretty. What about Ranee, Rowen, or Raven? Another favorite of mine is Rita, but I am biased as that was my grandmothers name.

  • I think Reese Russell is too much with the R's and S's.
I voted for Rebecca.  It doesn't "go" with Rylee and Reagan but she is her own person so that's ok.
I like Rosalind (not Rosalynn) but again not sure with the R's and S's.
    Also maybe:
    Rosalie
    Ruby
    Rena
    Rory
    Ramona

  • I think Reese goes best with your sibset! The S's don't bother me at all.
  • Reese pairs well with the sibset, but all the s sounds in Reese Russell is a bit much.
    Rayna
    Rachelle
    Rihanna
    Rowan
    Romy
    Rory

  • This is tough Reese is the perfect finish to the sibset but the s thing is a tongue twister...I guess she will say Reese Russel way more often than Reagan, Rylee, and Reese so I'm going to vote no to Reese. I like PPs suggestions of Ruby Marie and Rory Marie.

I don't think Rebecca or Roslyn are the same style as your other daughters but Rosie would be cute!

  • There is a family at my church with three daughters, Reese, Reagan, Riley. Their last name starts with an R also. I couldn't help but chuckle when I read this post.

  • Reese makes me think of the candy.

  • I love all Reece and Reagan!  I dont think the double "s" sound is too terrible.  If you really like the name, use it.

  • My first thought was Rowan. It's NMS (the sibling names aren't either), but I think it fits best with the masculine name theme you have going. I don't think Reese is bad, but I agree that it doesn't flow quite as well as some others.
