Second Boy, Name Help Needed

Hello lovely ladies!  I'm hoping to get some fresh input or ideas for our name pool.  I'm almost 30 weeks, expecting our second boy.  We love traditional names, but have struggled greatly finding one we can both love for this LO.  We have names we have both said 'okay' to, but it feels much like settling.  I'd love to hear outside input on the current name list (and any additions you like).  Our firstborn's name is Jacob, to give you an idea.  Our last name sounds like Barter.

Current list of names (options for First or Middle):
Andrew
Nathaniel (not my absolute favorite, but DH loves it)
Ethan
Aiden

I liked, but was ex-nayed for:
Lucas/Luke
Isaac
Isaiah
Adam
James/Jamie

He liked, but I ex-nayed:
Daniel

Your thoughts/combinations would be greatly appreciated!  I had stuck with the traditional lists for so long and kept coming up short, so when I branched out a little further, I found Aiden which was less traditional but still just a 'well it could work' kind of name.  No big flashing lightbulbs for us yet.  Thank you, ladies!

  • @bbiutmcph Thank you for the wonderful suggestions!  DH really likes Nathaniel in its entirety (we have friends that are Nate and Nathan), but I just feel it's really wordy for a newborn.  It's on the list as either the middle name biggest potential or first name using middle as the called name.
  • Andrew and Nathaniel are my favorites from your list. Here are a few more traditional ideas.

    Gregory
    Jeremy
    Zachary
    Patrick
    Spencer
    Malcolm
    Henry
    Miles
    Ivan
    Eric

  • Thank you @dsmlove!  Our as of latest pairings have been Nathaniel Andrew or Andrew Nathaniel, but it's kind of that settling feeling still, so I'm very thankful for the wonderful suggestions along with hearing that you like both.  Our firstborn was going to be Nicholas for the first several months of my pregnancy, and then one day we both just looked at each other and wrinkled our noses, so we went with Jacob, which we loved.
