Baby won't stop biting

I had to wean him at 8 months for biting . He still bites at almost 10 months. Any place that he can reach he will bite. Dr said to constantly keep him distracted but sometimes it just comes out of no where. It really hurts . What can I do ? Anyone else had this problem ?
