@goldsgirl9 Oops. I used the search bar prior to starting the thread and it shows no results. It doesn't even show the thread I just posted. I don't know if there's a glitch going on or what...
I'm not mobile right now so IDK if its a glitch with desktop users or not...
DH and I are headed to Disney for Christmas, so no gifts. I really want a Helen Ficalora initial necklace, but I'm guessing that'll wait till my first Mother's Day
@DougalMCG the Louis Vuitton Montaigne GM. It's just so expensive for an LV, you can basically get a Chanel for almost the same price. I'm not a huge LV fan or a fan of logos in general but I saw this bag in person and fell in love. Even DH loved it when he saw it.
@thaisac1 Not Chanel but yes I know. I can't bring myself to spend the $$$ on the Chanel I want. Sadly, LV raises their prices as well but not as often as Chanel.
@Goldsgirl9 The LV price raise is a recent phenomenon - copying Chanel I suppose! I gave myself a Chanel double flap as a graduation present once I finished my residency and fellowship training and started working. I had told myself I would only buy that bag once I had the money to pay for it in full without paying interest in credit card (which is my typical approach to purchases). However, I have to say that had I bought the bag 8 years earlier, when I was starting my residency training, and just put it on the credit card, the credit card interest would have been lower than the price increase Chanel imposed on the bag over he following 8 years. Makes sense?
I also have a wallet on chain which I love love love, it's my go-to evening bag.
@thaisac1 Have I ever told you that I love you? I totally understand get justification. I want the classic large envelope but $6,500??? UGH!!!! I keep joking that I'm saving my Amex points to buy the bag and by the time I have enough points it will have doubled in price. LV raised the price of their fascinate bag last year or the year before I believe. DH went to buy it for me a few months after we originally saw it and it had gone up an additional $500. So annoying but I get why they do it, I don't like it but I get it.
See, i bought it two years ago and paid less than that. These price increases are ridiculous. I also bought it in Paris so it ends up being a bit cheaper than buying here.
@ejled I just now saw your reply.. I ordered some online from a local company. It's a family who makes it in small batches in their home. It's called Yellow House Beards. I ordered the Sweet Mint, and it smells delicious!
I asked my husband for a glider so I could have a comfortable spot to sit with baby where I wouldn't also end up with a dog in my lap (currently I can't sit on the couch without her climbing on top of me... it's sweet now, but will be less so when I'm trying to BF). It arrived last weekend and is sitting in our living room. As an added bonus, it's a little less squooshy than our couch now, so I can actually get out of my seat without help, which is becoming a bit of a concern now.
I've had no ideas to give anyone else who asks what I want for Christmas, though. I much prefer finding Christmas presents for other people than receiving them myself.
If you are looking for something to ask for, maybe a pair of comfortable pajamas and slippers, to wear in the hospital after LO is born. Slippers are a hospital must in my opinion, and after had my son the last thing I felt was cute but a cute pair of pj's made me look not as hideous as I felt in the pictures!
