Hey ladies. So I watch some of the other cycles do this and really form a bond and I was hope to do the same. I'm 33, my dh is 32. This will be our first IVF cycle. We are doing IVF with ICSI. I started taking bc yesterday 12.14.15. Estimated time to start stim is the first week in January. Estimated retrieval the week of January 18. 5 day wait before et, then 2ww. Is anyone else on a December/January IVF? Good luck ladies. ..
Re: December/January IVF cycle
I'm crazy nervous. I can't tell if I'm more nervous about the possibility of BABY finally, or about the incredible amount of money we're spending/debt we're incurring!
I've had 7 unsuccessful medicated IUIs, old lady (38) with low reserve, and maybe an adhesion pulling my right ovary off course. This is my first and only IVF. If this doesn't work, we'll do partner IVF using my wife's eggs, my uterus (she's a smidge younger with better AMH/FSH levels).
7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
Well, not starting BCPs today, hcg is still at 20 and have to wait for it to get below 5. My nurse wants me back end of next week but I will be out of town so going back Tuesday. I'm keeping my fingers (toes, legs, eyes, etc!) crossed it goes down by then so I can start. Otherwise Im out of town will Jan 4 and wouldn't be able to start BCPs until then.
It seems like this whole process is "hurry up anD wait"!
