Period 4 weeks after D&C

Hi all,

I got my period exactly 4 weeks after my D&C and was very excited about starting another embryo transfer.  Went in for an u/s and blood work on day 5 of my cycle showing some remnants left over from my d&c and my hcg was at a 7.  wtf??!  So frusterating....I thought i wouldn't get my period until my hcg was back to zero?  anyone have something similar happen?  did then next period show a 0 hcg?  I have obviously been put on hold and am super bummed.  thanks in advance.

Yep, I had a faint bfp the same day as my period, which was 4 weeks and 2 days after my D&C.  It was super heavy at first and had some small bits of tissue.  I haven't tested since, but I feel like that period helped me regulate and I feel like this cycle is more normal.

I had my period this cycle when my HCG was still 19. I don't know if it is 0 or not now, it's been 2 weeks, and last week it was only at 11, so I'm really creeping down slowly. I get tested again next week, I think, or right after the holidays. I didn't have a d&c, though, just an assisted miscarriage - when all my remnants didn't clear naturally they gave me cytotec. I didn't want to have a d&c unless I absolutely had to. Hopefully you get answers soon, I know it sucks to be benched!

My issues a little bit different, but somewhat related so I thought I would ask it here.

I'm 3 weeks post D&C and I definitely had ovulation pain last week. Today I'm just a little crampy, but no AF yet. I feel like it could start at any time though.

Here's my question-we got the green light to TTC after my first period, but my doctor never took my HCG levels. I took a wondfo (which supposedly detects as little as 50 HCG)10 days post- D&C when the bleeding stopped and it was negative. My plan is to take a FRER (15HCG) on Monday, but I'm still worried that I could still have some HCG in my system. A friend miscarried 3 weeks before I did naturally and her levels were at a 13 last week.

Should I ask my doctor to check my levels before TTC?

@chloe97 I'd ask your dr to check your levels. Everyone is different and levels can be tricky. Mine plummeted in the beginning after my MC ended and then got stuck at 26, then 19, then 11. I haven't tested them recently but I'm hoping when I go in after the holidays it's as a pregnant patient. If you had a D&C and got a negative test for something sensitive to 50 then there's still a chance you have 25 which a lot of other tests are still sensitive to.
