Nightmares.

Anyone else experiencing vivid nightmares? I've heard and read that it's really common for some women in the first trimester, I hope this doesn't last long. Last nights theme seemed to be about elevators. I got trapped in a falling elevator and a man was attacking me, made it out and got into another elevator and it happened again but someone else was attacking me. Do any of you know what I can do to help keep this from happening again?
I don't think I'll step foot into an elevator today, haha.

Re: Nightmares.

  • I've been having really vivid dreams and today woke up from a nightmare so you're not alone!  I usually don't remember my dreams so it's been a really noticable change for me.

  • Me too, two nights ago it was a client (I'm a social worker) holding a gun up to my head... that was terrifying!
  • I've been having really vivid nightmares and dreams too. I had a horrible one that I was having a miscarriage and no one seemed to care. I've had some other scary ones, but I don't remember them thankfully. I did have a really vivid dream that I enjoyed though. I was eating my weight in chocolate. When I woke up I could almost taste the chocolate.
  • oh my god the other day i dreamed that my mom had a threesome with my boyfriend and my newest employee- probably the worst nightmare i could ever conceive of.  i will swap y'all for the elevator and gun dreams.

So sorry to hear about all these nightmares! Try to rest easy, though - strange dreams are very common during pregnancy. Here's some great info about why bizarre pregnancy dreams are so common (and what some of them mean!) https://bump.ly/6009BTW8B
