I really like Sarah (prefer without the H) but it was just soooooo common with people my age. I know like 10 Sarahs. It's probably not as common anymore but I just know too many to want to choose it. Claire is great and I only know one so that's my pick.

Claire is the new Sarah IMO. Pretty popular now.

Both are pretty but I like Claire better only because I know so many Sarah's.

Thanks ladies! I like Sarah because it's classic and biblical...and I don't know a ton of them. I feel like even though there are a lot of Sarah adults there aren't a lot of children named Sarah now. But that may just be my demographic. I like Claire but I worry about it becoming too popular. I only know one now but it is climbing up the charts. Hmmm...picking a name is so hard!

I like Sarah. I don't know any little Sarah's. Despite knowing several adult Sarah's, it's a pretty name and refreshing I'm a sea of bella/ella/anna names. Short and sweet.

They're actually pretty even popularity-wise, according to ssa. The difference is that Sarah is decreasing and Claire is increasing. My 14yo niece is Sarah, and it feels like half of her friends are named Sarah, but it was a top 10 name when she was born. Much less popular now.

I voted Claire, but love both.

I like Claire more than Sarah but they are both pretty. I agree that Claire is rising in popularity.

I don't hear Sarah at all on little girls so it'd be a refreshing choice! Claire is nice but popular.

I'm sorry but I cant stand Claire. It always reminds me of The Breakfast Club, when Bender says Claire is a fat girls name. I guess I just have a bad connotation with it now.

I love Claire. I think it sounds so elegant. Sarah is very plain to me.

I find both boring/plain, but prefer Claire.

It depends on your community. I personally know only a couple of Claires, but several Sarahs/Saras. They are both solid names and clearly stood the test of time (although NMS), so if you love them, no one is going to side-eye you.
