October 2015 Moms

Re: Wtf Wednesday 12/9

  • I'll gladly start. My husband and I are estranged from his biomom, his stepmother is who we call grandma. My SIL is the only of the 4 siblings to talk to biomom because biomom is abusive. She's never physically abused me because she knows I'd press charges. But she has been verbally and mentally abusive. I requested my SIL not show pictures of the baby or talk about the baby to biomom. She promised she wouldn't, then said she had a Facebook group that her mom couldn't see. Well, she posted pictures thanksgiving and I asked if she used that group. She then blows up and says she doesn't hide things from her mom and "her mom has a right to see the baby cuz she is his grandmother." I said she isn't and that I wish she had ran this past me first. She said no one can tell her what to do. I caught her in a lie. Now she wants to be all lovey with me because she realized that I buy good presents for her kids. Firstly, I said before money was tight, so each kid gets a toy but they aren't very expensive this year. Secondly, she offered to babysit. I said no thank you but what I meant was I don't trust you, you evil idiot. I had a dream last night my husband's biomom came and kidnapped my son. Wtf brain! Wtf SIL!

  • LO slept from 10-3. Our two year old however was up until 1:00 screaming hysterically because she didn't want to sleep in her own bed. Get over it kid, mama needs sleep whenever she can get it and you take up too much space. I turned up the white noise app for LO really just to drown out her sister. Sorry not sorry.
  • Wtf?! My husband was holding the baby facing away from him while playing video games at the computer. DS started fussing and crying so he decided that rather than even attempt to soothe him, he put the boppy on the floor and laid him down. (Which made crying turn to screaming of course.) And he just ignored him to go back to his game. Then when I went to pick him up my husband looked at me like I was crazy. All DS wanted was to be able to see someone's face and he was fine. Is it so hard to make even the slightest effort to care for the baby?

Yes, yes it is. My husbands the same way. DD2 gets really fussy at night and the only thing that calms her is to walk around. Does he do it? Of course not, that would require doing something.
  • So after a week of dd not letting me put her down she took long enough of a nap for me to boil her bottles. This was a win until i dropped a bottle in the water that splashed scolding water onto my boob.
  • The night before last I was up all night because our LO hates her new crib. I was hoping to get some sleep last night by letting her sleep with me like usual, but my hubby was up all night with food poisoning
  • Wtf LO and not staying asleep for a nap when I put you down. I could really use the time to do the dishes and clean so I can get some cuddle time with Daddy. Usually he naps for at least an hour and will do so on the floor or in his crib. But today and the last few days only in my arms and only for like fifteen minutes.
  • In the middle the night I gave up and put LO in the swing at min speed to get a longer stretch of sleep, but then couldn't fall asleep myself for 1.5h, afraid that the scary thunderstorm outside would leave us with no electricity. wtf?
  • Wtf post Partum body?! It used to be that working out and a sensible diet shaved pounds off but now you just want to stay at 20lbs over your pre pregnancy weight! Hello! We are done baking a baby. Let it gooooo! Mama wants to fit into her sequin pants this holiday season!
