I'm on CD 2 :(   I have my first RE appointment this afternoon.  DH is coming with me and we will also receive the results from his SA, so I'm very nervous about it.  Hoping for good news and answers!

  • @severmilli12 fx for a great appointment! I Hope you leave feeling you got your questions answered and you are excited and hopeful for your treatment plan!

I Finished the last of my progesterone on Saturday and AF showed up yesterday so I am in the clear for my surgery next Wednesday! The closer it gets the more I've been getting nervous that I'll end up with a fever or pop a tire on the way to the surgical center or something else so they have to reschedule or something. I cant wait for it to just be behind me already.

I have seen 2 Star Wars movies (episodes 3 and 4) and I haven't seen any Star Trek so I guess I have to say Star Wars?

  • Technically in the tww, but not sure I O'ed this month. No positive opk but with a PCOS diagnosis they aren't reliable. I did have some cramps in the O window so I'm hopeful. I go for bloodwork tomorrow. I'm kind of just meh about everything, trying to not get my hopes up but still being hopeful.

QOTW: I hadn't seen either until recently when my husband started making me watch star wars in anticipation for the new movie. Its not my favorite but it's not terrible. I'd probably fall in the hoity category.
  • Going for my beta tomorrow but have received all bfns so far and no AF. But I feel it coming.

I have to say neither but just because I find all of them boring. Hahaha I've tried watching and can't sit through it.

Will do third iui/fourth medicated cycle this month as soon as AF comes.

  • ********* BFP WARNING **********

A week ago today I tested and got my second BFP!  It was exciting, but mainly nerve wracking after my last experience.  What kills me, is that the nurse didn't think I was going to O (on CD14 when I had an u/s), but I am usually a 35 day cycle and Ive heard Clomid can sometimes make you O later.  So obviously I was annoyed with her and mainly shocked because even though there was a drop and then spike in my temps, there were no other reasons so think I ovulated.  I was really nervous and dreading going in for bloodwork, so it put it off until this morning.  I should get a call this afternoon with my levels.  It's the follow-up appointments that I am a nervous wreck for...

Anyways, hoping and praying this one sticks and FX for all you ladies!  I am going to stick around for a while still since I am still early (5w6d is my guess).

QOTW:  not really a fan of either but maybe Star Wars if I was forced to watch one (so I guess 'C' haha).
  • @severmilli12 good luck with your appointment!

@ceclarlinetlo good luck with your surgery!

@Drove2u I'm sorry you feel like she's showing! Good luck with your beta!

AFM- I am 9dptrigger and 9dpo, I could swear I could see my test a little darker than yesterday but at this time it could be trigger or real, too hard to tell. I guess the next few days will tell, hoping for a darker line tomorrow morning!

QOTW- Star Wars! I've tried watching Star Trek but fell asleep! I watched the whole Star Wars saga with my husband over a weekend!

I am on CD14 with no ovulation yet. Last time on Clomid, I got a positive OPK on CD18 so I'm praying its soon! We've been doing the BD much more than normal, as hubby said he "really hopes it happens this month!" He's been much more positive so that helps! It's been making me more positive as well!

  • @Aera11 Congrats!!

I'm on cd37 and more or less just annoyed. No telling if I ovulated this month. I really wanted a med free month but may need to jump start my next cycle with progesterone. All bfn on tests and don't even feel like af is anywhere in sight.

Qotw: ummm c for me. I'm not into either one of those but feel my fate is sealed because dh is going to drag me to the new star wars.
  • Well I am 8dpiui today. The wait to test is killer. I think I'll wait until Saturday to take my first hpt.
I am also taking the vaginal progesterone right now and I think it's been giving me some pretty gnarly cramps the last few days. Feels like a serious AF is about to show up :( but I am going to hold out hope until I test this weekend.

  • Hello ladies!!

    @Aera11 congrats!!

Good luck ladies in all of your next week's adventures.

I am currently CD8 and took clomid 50mg CD3-7. Only side effect I have is hot flashes. I am also temping this month as a first as suggested by the dr and I think my Temps are all over the place. No idea what to think because I hear you ladies talk about O Later on clomid but I feel like I have a lot of CM. Thinking of using OPK too, but worry about false readings. This is all new to me this month and not sure what to think.

  • I called my RE, and made an appointment to discuss IVF on the 21st.  It's kind of a relief to have that going on, I don't feel quite so much like I am spinning wheels.  Unless, of course, I get my highly unlikely BFP this week.  I also talked to my sister, who said that if we have to go the IVF route she will come down and stay with my mom, since it would involve me and DH being out of town for 2 weeks.

QOTW - Star Trek.  I am the daughter of two Trekkies :D  My sister even had a Star Wars uniform, and we have an ornament of the Enterprise that says "Live long and prosper" when you push a button,  I hope my sister has it, because its not here :x

    TTC since 2011

  • My 2ww is officially over.  I never made it to test day because what would have been 13dpiui became CD1, even with progesterone suppositories.  I guess I know now that progesterone doesn't delay my period like the nurse told me it would.  We won't be doing another IUI in December because we're on vacation and don't go home until Sunday, too late to go in for baseline and start another round of injections.  I'm bummed.  But I do believe everything happens for a reason and that there's a great big beautiful tomorrow (sorry, I'm at Disney World, which is lessening the blow).  IUI #2 will be in January.

    QOTW - definitely Star Wars.

    FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN
    FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
  • @wifeinraleigh28 I'm sorry to hear! It's always bad news to get AF but looking at the bright side it's good the progesterone doesn't delay your period, it makes you gain time, it took me 10 days or more after stopping to get mine so it makes for really long cycles! Being at Disney sure helps :) I won't be doing any treatments on december either because it's hectic and january I will start again too.

  • I had my first RE appointment and it went well!! It was a lot of information and pretty overwhelming. They didn't have the morphology results yet from DH's SA but everything else came back great which is a relief! Due to a leaking appendix and infection when I was 11 my RE is a little concerned about blocked tubes so he gave us a ton of information on IVF. I will go in for blood work and an HSG after my period in January, which should be the first week of that month and then we will have more of a game plan. Until then we have a treatment plan assuming my tubes are open and clear and that makes me and DH optimistic :)

I went in for u/s this morning (CD17) to see if the 11mm from Friday had boosted up.... :-( there weren't any mature follicles at all, not even the 11mm (might have been a misread, or my guess would be that I O'd late last night or early this morning and we missed it).  Dr. gave me a script for 150MG Clomid (not looking forward to the mood swings and hot flashes) pending the results from my b/w.  I'm guessing he was thinking I might have O'd the 11mm too and wants to check before taking Clomid again.

  • I am 13dpiui so waiting and hoping here.  AF should show up today/tomorrow if IUI was not successful.  I moved my beta from Wednesday to Friday to hopefully decrease stress, we'll see how it works.  I'm of course still anxious, but not having to get to the doctor and worry about changing it to a baseline appt last minute will hopefully help.

@wifeinraleigh28 I am sorry, hugs.  I was rooting for you.  Enjoy Disney!

@Aera11 congrats and sending you sticky baby dust!

    1.  We've been NTNP for a couple years. Charting and seriously TTC for about 14 months.
    2.  not ovulating, very low progesterone, endometriosis and adenomyosis
    3. 50mg of clomid cd 5-9, This is my first cycle using clomid and I haven't been enjoying the side effects. Not ovulating yet, hoping to see my first positive opk soon.

Question of the Week:   Select one:

    a) Star Wars, but I'm not a hard core fan.

  • Hello ladies :) I am currently on CD 3, AF was 4 days late. It got my hopes up higher than usual which meant a big disappointment on CD 1. Ah, such is life!
Nothing huge to report for me, we are taking a break from the RE$$. I'll be using Softcups around O, and have been taking my PCOS meds along with herbal supplements. Unfortunately, PCOS makes ovulation predictions unreliable, so I go with my body signs.

    Baby dust to everyone!

QOTW: I watched both Star Wars and Star Trek as a kid, but never got into either of them. I definitely don't feel hoity toity, I did love the X-files, does that count? Lol

  • Hi, ladies!

@wifeinraleigh28 sorry to hear that - I'd had my FX for you! Glad you're having fun on vacation. Our diagnosis is similar so I'm going to keep following you :).

I left a message for DH's urologist's nurse re his missing SA test results on Friday. Called and left another message yesterday and still haven't heard back. I'm still irritated that it looks like the majority of his SA results are missing from this report, which will mean it's useless and he'll have to do another one. Over the weekend we found out that our dog's parents had another litter so it looks like we're going to adopt another puppy next weekend. We've talked about it for a while now and the timing isn't great, but I think it will be a good distraction (which I know sounds like a terrible reason - I promise we'll be a good home and love the puppy :) ).

QOTW: neither, but I've seen the newer Star Trek and liked it. DH is a closet SW nerd so I'll likely go see the new one with him even though I haven't seen any of the other movies.

  • @Aera11 Congratulations! I will be thinking of you and wishing this one is sticky!

@wifeinraleigh28 I'm sorry about your CD1 but I'm glad it is in Disney so you have a happy distraction! Enjoy your vacation!

@Drove2u I'm so sorry, that can't be easy!

@MorganL925 a new puppy will be a great addition to your family. I've tried to convince my DH several times we needed another one.

We are just waiting for DH's urologist appointment on the 18th. I think I am going to call my Natural Path and cancel our appointment for this month. I have been going to acupuncture and other advice since April and I haven't noticed  or felt any difference. I also feel like I present her with a ton of research I've done each time and she just agrees. Like I'm doing the work. I just think we've reached her limit. She is very young, which isn't a bad thing, but just lacking a little in experience.

I'm trying to not think about TCC this month a whole lot. Mentally taking a break (Is that even possible?) My dad is sick so my parents are taking me and DH and both my brothers and their significant others on Vacation to the Dominican over Christmas break so I am very much looking forward to that and spending quality time with those I love :)

  • @Aera11 Congrats!!

Hugs to everyone who needs one.

Well looks like I'm starting a new cycle today. Feeling completely devastated. I tried not to get my hopes up too high but clearly I did. I just don't understand why we can't get pregnant. I have regular cycles, ovulate on my own, all of mine and hubby's tests were normal, I responded great to the clomid, and my progesterone levels were great. And still nothing. It's like one giant crapshoot. Ugh.

So I saw a great idea on a fertility blog. It's basically a white elephant gift exchange and you get paired up with someone at the same point in their fertility journey. The requirements were a gift(s) under $20 and a letter to your person. I thought this would be a fun idea since this infertility journey can be so lonely and frustrating, especially as the holidays get closer. I have no idea if thats against TOU or if anyone would even have any interest, but just throwing that out there.

I love this idea, although I don't think I can participate.  It's important to keep your personal information private as well so I'd have to check to see what's available with the TOU.  I'll get back to you...

It's 15dpiui for me now, and according to FF I am 1 day late. That's not too unusual for me though. I just hope it's not one of those cycles, where you are a week late for no reason. (Once, about 2 years ago, I was a week late and kept throwing up. We got super excited, even though all we got were BFNs. Eventually, AF came and we figured out my throwing up was because of a cough I had). I know theoretically something good could have happened, but since DH's count was so low I'm not even a little hopeful, like I would be at this time normally. @wifeinraleigh28 *hugs* I think you are in the best place to get bad news lol! DH and I went to Disney for our honeymoon and we are trying to save up enough to go back! I love pin trading :D

  • @starlitfae - If only we had all the money in the world so we could spend every 2ww on vacation!!  Being here at Disney has made it impossible for me to be sad, even with a BFN.  There is something so incredibly healing about Disney magic...
