Baby naps/spoiled

So DD is 8 weeks and during the day when she naps if you try to set her down in crib, bed, mommaroo she will wake up crying within 15 mins. She has to be held to get in a good nap . Of course my mother in law says i am spoiling her but if I don't get her naps in she is the fussiest baby Ever . Any tips or advice ? Is it possible to spoil an 8 week old?

Has she always been this way? Im fonding my daughter who is also 8 weeks old has been that way this week. 8 weeks is a wonder week. Im just using it as an excuse to not to the mounds of laundry i have.

My daughter is just shy of 8 weeks and is doing the same thing.. Last week she would nap up to 3 hours in her swing and the last 2 days she will last 20 min max in her swing and needs to finish her nap on me (which her naps the last couple days are only an hour)

My LO is 10 weeks almost 11 and he has been doing the same thing all this week. Also he has been extremely fussy all hours of the day, and he is rarely taking naps too.. The only thing that I can do is walk around with him till he falls asleep and then rock him in a chair bc if I put him down he wakes up and then I have to start all over again.

May be an UO, but I don't believe it is possible to spoil an 8 week old.

It's not possible to spoil an 8 week old, your MIL needs to shut up. 8 weeks is still little. Have her look into the "4th trimester." My advice came from my mom and my MIL, enjoy this time where they want to cuddle and nap on you

For the last week or two this boy will only nap on my chest. He would probably nap if I swaddle him like at night but I'm lazy and I kind of enjoy snuggling with him

Wow my boy is 7 weeks and he has been doing the same things.
At night he sleeps fine in his crib, its just in the day that he wants to snuggle. I love snuggling with him,but I can hardly do things around the house

DS took his naps on me until he was a year old. He was spoiled, but I didn't have anything else to do. However, it didn't last forever and I love remembering those times with him snoozing on my chest or next to me in bed. I will never get that time back. Snuggle that baby!!

Yep... Mine is six weeks old and started the same thing this week. What really baffles me is that at night, he sleeps just fine in his pack and play. But during the day, he will on,y sleep on me. Thankfully he will sleep if k wear him in the carrier, so at least I can get a little so,etching done.

Six weeks and same thing! So glad you posted - I was sure I was the only one. LO was so good about going right back to sleep at night after feedings, then something flipped and he has to be rocked forever or be with me to sleep now. Waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel where he goes back!

My husbands grandmother told me that if you hold baby a lot during the day they will sleep better at night! I like to think that since he sleeps in the cosleeper without much touch at night that he's stocking up on cuddles during the day!

Ours is the same .sleeps great in her crib at night for 6-8 hrs, but during the day, will only sleep on me or in baby carrier. Trying to get her to take one or two naps in crib each day so that transition to daycare isn't so rough. I don't worry about spoiling though.
