Currently I work in the fraud division of a payment processor . It's an interesting job, indeed. However, I'm only doing that until I'm finished with my BSN! 2.5 years to go, even though this little babe doesn't have the best timing I'm determined to finish what I started.
We are so diverse I love it! I also love all of the folks from other countries on here (even if you make all of the Americans super jealous of your maternity leave!).
I'm an account executive for a medical device company. I work out of 5 hospitals in NJ, not to mention rehabs, and doctors offices. I wish I could stop and take a year off after baby is born, but I also make more than my husband. My job is pretty stressful because it's based on performance.
I'm a Senior Accountant for a national and international commercial real estate company (think large eco-friendly office and industrial buildings). I love my job, the people I work with and the flexibility I have!
I'm a social worker. I'm currently working as an individual therapist for combat veterans and their families. This job is LTE so in a few months I'll be starating a new position with a local hospice agency. I have yet to tell anyone (other than my husband) about the pregnancy so I'm not sure how this new employer will react!
I am a client executive selling computer software to fortune 100 insurance companies. My job includes a lot of travel but on the days I'm in town, I work from home. My husband also works from home and my parents are next door. I have no idea what we will be doing for childcare. I think I will need a very flexible nanny, maybe a nanny share. Or a day care provider where I can just pay for a certain number of hours and I can use them any day.
I need to get thru this road trip. I'm in the middle of a 15 hour day that includes two flights and various other planes trains and automobiles. I'm thankful my MS is just nausea. No puking. I just get to turn an attractive shade of grey and shove animal crackers in my mouth to keep from losing my marbles.
I work full time at a Learning Center. I primarily work in the infant room, but I float to other rooms based on the need of the day.
I also go to ASU (online atm) taking about 4-5 classes a semester. With a two year old and a new baby on the way however, I see myself only takeling 2-3 classes for a while.
I'm a lab manager for a municipal wastewater treatment plant. I really like the job but it sucks sometimes being in such a male dominated industry. There are seriously like two women in admin who each have one young-ish kid and almost everyone else here is young/unmarried or an older guy with a stay at home wife so pretty much no one values work-life balance or flexibility and they all think overtime is a great perk.
I'm not really cut out to be a stay at home mom but I would love to work a little less, this would be the perfect job if I could work 6 hours a day 4 days a week
Luckily my husband's job is more flexible but he does have to travel some for work so that part sucks. Definitely worried about having a second kid and making it all work, we might have to break down and get a nanny which I'm dreading, we are in a high cost of living area so it's gonna be expensive!
I am a birth doula! I am very new at it. Haven't had any clients yet so just working on growing my business. I've been thinking about it for a couple years so I'm glad I finally took the plunge. Really hoping I get hired for one or two births before this baby comes because I'll be taking a few months off.
I am an Office Manager at the corporate level for a company that owns and operates manufactured home communities. I enjoy it..even though it doesn't sound like the most fun job in the world.
I work as a Branding Manager for a Recruiting company, I just started a few months ago and before that I was the marketing director for a defense contractor. I love what I do because I handle the fun stuff of the company so I really don't mind working which is good because my grad school loans are insane and I make more money than DH. (So similar story to some of you other ladies)
Basically I find ways to get employees to have fun, work on graphics, incentive programs, events, charity work, social media, websites and anything else where we are branding ourselves to the outside world! It's fun and I work for an amazing company which is a bonus!
I am a Territory Management Analyst, I work for the world's leading IT consulting and advisory firm.I really enjoy being a mom but I also enjoy having my career and goals. I do go through my feelings of some days wanting to be a stay at home mom, but I don't think I would want to give up my work.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and I work in a university counseling center. It has its challenges but overall I love my job and the work I do.
On a different note, I just started here in late September and this pregnancy is a surprise so I'm a little nervous as to how they will take it when I announce.
I'm an admin assistant in the sales office for luxury resort here in the Florida Keys. I love it! I will be enrolling in classes at our community college in January for hotel revenue management.
I'm a full time veterinary technician at a small animal clinic. I graduated in 2011 with my degree but have worked at my current job for a year and a half. I used to work at an emergency clinic but it was just too stressful and I hated seeing more death than survival. I LOVE my job and hope I get to do it for a long time. For every parvo case or hit by car, there is a cute puppy getting its first vaccines. I hate that I've had to give up a few parts of my job for little bean, but it's definitely worth it!

I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst specializing in children with Autism. I work for a non-profit agency who provides services mostly to kids 3-21 in their regular schools. I don't do much direct service anymore, but oversee a caseload of 4 kids creating all their programming and supervising the direct service staff. Occasionally I do some consultation as well.
I love this and thank you so much for what you do! My brother is autistic and was the first special ed student to graduate in our county, having taken the same classes that all his peers did. It was a lot of work and he had many aids that helped him with homework and to learn things in a way that he could understand.

I am a psychologist doing therapy and research. Excited to see that so many of us are in health and mental health care! Everyone is doing really interesting things.
I am also an RN. I rotate through a trauma unit and emerg. I also do a couple days a week in DI where I do PICC line placements. Looking for something less shift worky in the coming years. Considering a job in the OR/recovery room.
PACU RN here. I have been doing it for 5 years. I am a charge nurse and we are a trauma center. Any questions, just pm me.
I'm a teacher. I taught HS for 4 years, now middle school. I teach math, but I'm also an English enthusiast and currently learning American Sign Language.
I'm a nurse at a world renowned paediatric hospital in Canada. I work on the general paediatrics and infectious diseases unit. We see a whole range of kids, and have a heavy rotation of complex care kiddies who unfortunately pay us frequent visits! Heading into the busy season (Get your flu shots!) so this should be an interesting few months.
I'm doing shifts now, which is tough and after the baby comes I plan on taking my full year (my employer tops up my government mat leave for the first six months). Then I'll likely look or something closer to home, without the shift work when it's time to go back.
I'm a producer for a commercial photographer. We're a small company so I do everything but take the photos. I book locations, hire models, do tons of marketing research, prop styling, wardrobe styling, lots of shopping/returns. I also do all the metadata and key wording for photos we upload, and work closely with businesses and talent agents. I occasionally do some graphic illustration for the company.
I work from home 80% of the time and work on location for shoot days a few days per month. My almost 2yo is in PDO two days per week, and I'm probably going to add a third day. MH or my mom watch her on the days I have photo shoots. She came to work with me for the first year because I was breastfeeding so I'll probably stick this next baby in a Tula and take him/her to work with me too. It's hard, but I make it work.
Another attorney here! I work in health policy, advising CMS on policy issues in the End Stage Renal Disease Quality Incentive Program, i.e. The rule that governs all Dialysis Facilities, @LinzerBinzer !
We write the Final Rule that gets published in the Federal Register and assist with all the policy decisions along the way, summarize and respond to public comments, etc. and we help with implementation of the program once the rule is finalized.

Another counselor! I'm an LPC-I, working towards my 3000 internship hours at a community mental health/behavioral health center. I work in the children's unit, with kids ages 5-17. It's very stressful, with a case load of about 80 (if we're lucky). This is my fourth kid, so I'm not sure what I'll do once he or she is born. I'd love to work out of the home doing counseling via telecommunication, to try to avoid paying anymore daycare fees!
I'm a property manager with a student housing company and I also am an adjunct professor of political science when I can! Wish I could be a SAHM but with a free apartment right now and my salary I would be insane to leave that!
I am a project manager in the healthcare field. Like some of the other ladies on here, I started in this position fairly recently (Oct. 1). I have been with the company for ten years, but a new team and new manager now...I am nervous to announce. Eep!
I'm a CPA. I left public accounting as an audit manager for a global accounting firm after 7 years and now work in accounting policy for a national commercial bank. LOVING the flexibility of my new job - working 40 hours feels like a vacation! I actually get to see my family on a regular basis and feel like I have a LIFE again! I'm happy I made the decision to change jobs - I think that's one of the main reasons I was able to get pregnant! My previous job was very high-stress, which I think affected my body in a big way. A little nervous to tell my manager I'm pregnant after only being here 3 months!
I'm a graphic designer for large liquor and beer companies, working in a bustling ad agency. Nearly impossible to keep my stress levels down as work fluctuates immediately at times, lending to long nights and late work hours. I also do freelance on the side, so I work more than I'd like. Also, my supervisor is incompetent in his role, and I feel I'm constantly picking up the slack. I don't want to be miserable during my pregnancy. Any advice?
International immigration lawyer. 3 kids. Dog. After school activities. I'm. So. Exhausted. I'd go wild being a SAHM, but I want time with my infant. Hoping to stay home 6-8 weeks at least.
Another attorney here. I do litigation work, with a focus in automobile insurance defense. I have a ton of trials scheduled in the next few months, so I'll be non-stop until maternity leave. Being a SAHM is not an option but a sista' can dream, can't she?
I'm a 2nd grade teacher...whose currently at home sick with a bad cold. Gotta love little kids with big germs! Luckily this baby of mine is safe and cozy in his little sac and has no clue what's going on with Mommy. This is my first year teaching 2nd grade, but I've primarily taught upper elementary, middle or high school for the past 15 years.
@soberkfell - I also came from public accounting and can relate. Public took a toll on my personal life! The flexibility I gained when I left was amazing and I could never go back. GL to you.
@Ken&Anna Small world! Are you in Baltimore then? I've been considering (just recently) looking at some of our regulatory positions here. In my old role I didn't practice but did a lot of compliance work and I really miss advising and helping the business in that way. Maybe I can PM you and pick your brain sometime.
I'm not currently a CM but I used to be! I worked at Disneyland, though, at the Riverbelle Terrace, in 2009 and 2010. I was in the DLCP. Now that I no longer live in California, though, we take our family trips to Disney World. We were actually on vacation to Disney during ovulation week lol.
Now I'm doing research to see how early is too early to take babies to Disney- because we will skip this next year, because of my brother's wedding in October when we normally go, but I was hoping to go the following year when my twins will be about a year and three months, give or take.

I just went yesterday with a 19 month old and a 3 month old. I love taking little ones to Disney. The rule of thumb: Low and Slow. Stay on site so you can take as many breaks and naps as needed. The Baby Care Centers in the parks are a dream (and Magic Kingdom just added La-Z-boys to the nursing rooms!). I'm one of 7 with 9 (almost 10) nieces and nephews and a few have gone to Disney more than the average Floridian. If you need help, try a travel agent-they're free!
