What do you do for work?

I would love to get to know more about the wonderful ladies on here!

I am a Clinic Coordinator for The Joint Chiropractic. I love it! I must say that the adjustments help a lot with my pregnancy so far too! On top of that, I am an published Author. Just got my book on Barnes and Noble last month so I was pretty excited about that. I am hoping this pregnancy isn't too rough so I can continue working until the little one is born.

Nanny for the past year and few months. So over it but I graduate with my bachelors in Human development in 3 weeks (finally!) though I think I'll just keep working here until baby comes since I want to be a SAHM and it'll be hard to get another job when I only plan on working through June. Ohh well! DH is a professional tennis instructor.

I'm a registered nurse working on an adult medical floor in a community hospital. I work the day shift so luckily I don't have to worry about rotating or night shifts with the exhaustion. Nursing is great and provides a lot of flexibility and I definitely plan to continue working after I have the baby.

I'm an interactive designer and developer currently working for a premium tv network. I design stuff in photoshop and bring it to life with HTML/CSS/JS. I love what I do, but it's currently slow season for the network and I'm a bit bored... I'm planning to work until the day I deliver and then come back 3 months laters. Shouldn't be too tough since I mainly sit in front of a screen with my feet up all day anyway.

I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst specializing in children with Autism.  I work for a non-profit agency who provides services mostly to kids 3-21 in their regular schools.  I don't do much direct service anymore, but oversee a caseload of 4 kids creating all their programming and supervising the direct service staff.  Occasionally I do some consultation as well.

I work for the government, so I know what you all are doing, all the time, at any second. Just kidding, what I do is super boring, passport's are not exciting at all. I did get the green light from the DH to be done here after my maternity leave is up, which I'm super excited about and then switch to full time student and SAM to finish my BS in Human Resource Management.

I'm a spine image processing specialist- I analyze videos of patients spines while in motion and create reports for doctors to see as a diagnostic tool for surgery. It's fun!

I am also a massage therapist. Wish I could massage myself right about now....

During the day I work for the regional office of education as a social worker for drop out/ truancy prevention. At night I work as a social worker doing individual therapy for a practice specializing in child sexual abuse/ child maltreatment. I just started at the Regional office in September so we will see how they react to my pregnancy....

I am a security officer. I rotate between a large hospital and a smaller mental hospital that specializes in short term crisis care. It bounces between being a boring job that's hard to stay awake for and being a nerve wrecking scary thing when we have meth patients brought in. Our state sends drug and alcohol offenders through our program to dry out before dealing with any crimes committed.

I'm head of HR for a privately owned company with just under 1,000 employees... it keeps me very busy! Its also very close to home which is wonderful for me commute wise, and also for when the baby comes, I can run home at lunch (its only a few miles away!) after I have to come back to work!

This is my first year as a literacy specialist at an elementary school - previously, I've been a classroom teacher.  Much less stress so I'm really enjoying it.  No option of being at SAHM but I will enjoy having the summers and breaks off with my kiddo :-).

I'm a Speech-Language Pathologist at a skilled nursing facility! I work with adults (mainly geriatrics), who have problems in cognition, communication, and swallowing. Love my job but it can get a bit crazy, as I'm the only SLP in my building. DH and are considering me going part-time or SAHM once baby arrives, but we'll see!!

I work in human resources in the employee and labor relations department. It can be both entertaining and incredibly frustrating at the same time. After taking FMLA my plan is to go back to work, but hopefully with an extra telework day or two to make the transition easier

I am an RN too. I work full time nights in Intensive Care. I'm also a part time grad school student doing my Masters of Science in Adult/Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioning. I think I want to specialize in palliative care after I graduate which is ONLY FIVE MORE CLASSES! WHOO! Adding a baby to the mix will totally be a juggling act but I'm excited for it.

I do clinical research with a major hospital/university. I'm currently working with the aging homeless population identifying precipitants to homelessness and barriers to obtaining and maintaining stable housing. We also look at early onset of geriatric conditions in this population and how this population uses clinics and emergency departments. We are starting up two new studies with our cohort, one looking at family assisted housing and another looking at smoking cessation. I'm polishing up my Masters thesis, based on the work I do. Since my due date is within weeks of my husband's relocation I am using time off after the baby is born to research programs for a second Masters (Social work). I hope to ultimately focus on veteran homelessness.

after getting my BS in Business/HR Mgt, I worked in Human Resources in NYC (non-profit) and Washington, DC (for-profit) . Now that I live in smalltown, FL I work as an Admin Asst. for a department director of a large hospital. I miss all the Employee Relations/Labor Relations drama!

Before switching majors, I was going to school for elementary education. I'm contemplating trying to get certified and pursue that career track again. I feel like I'm way better prepared to be a teacher now that I'm a mom (this will be my 2nd). My husband's job moves us around A LOT and unless we're in a large metro area, HR jobs are tough to find.

I make debt and equity investments for an insurance company. I love my job, luckily it is very flexible so I can be home a lot. I always thought I'd be the career mom but I could absolutely be a SAHM and I would have quit my job if I didn't get so much vacation time and the chance to work from home several days a week to be with my daughter. I make more money than DH too, but he knows I will stay home at some point

I am a Computer Support Technician for an environmental lab. We do water and soil testing and I support over 150 computers, scanners, printers, switches, phones, and more. I also run cabling through the ceiling and floor, that may get harder as I progress. I also support the entire network and make sure everything is coming through okay. I am the only IT person on site here so it gets pretty lonely. I double up on my downtime and help Project Managers with their tasks. Its a really stressful job tbh, but I love it. Not many female IT around here. As much as I would love to be a SAHM I will never be able to afford that. DH and I will both be full timers when this kid is born. lol

I am a Geographic Information Systems Analyst....a digital cartographer in other words.  Think Google Maps but on a local government level....and so much more than just streets and traffic.  I'm probably one of the few who has no desire to be a SAHM.

I am a PhD student in English Literature, so my primary role is writer. I also teach tutorials and guest lecture for various English courses, and I am a closet novelist. I hope to publish my first novel in the very near future.

I'm an admin in the nursing and health professions college of a major university.  I work in the marketing and communications department, and it is my ultimate goal to become a communications manager, but the admin work is a good way to get my foot in the door. 

I also recently became a Rodan + Fields consultant, so if anyone is looking for a great way to combat their pregnancy skin, I'm your girl.

I optimistically told my husband that I would go back to work a year after the birth, but that he should prepare for me to want to amend that and go back to part time by month 6. I have a nasty habit of getting terribly stir crazy, and the unhappiest time of my life was being out of work for 5 months after we got married and I moved across the country. I do know how very important the first weeks and months are, and I plan to breastfeed if able, so I will give myself at least 6 months. My husband would be happy to hide me away at home to dote on our baby (he gets protective of me now that I'm pregnant and thinks ending work 30 days out from my due date isn't enough time), but I remind him that I didn't do all of the hard work getting my degrees to not use them!

Yeah, I wish that was my problem. The amount of money I make an hour after 8 years would make you cry.
