Flu-Like Body Aches

Did anyone else have all-over body aches (flu-like) in the few days prior to their BFP? DH and I did the "baby dance" on the big O, but don't expect my period for another two days. I've had extreme body aches and fatigue for the last 3 days now, but no other flu symptoms. My bbs were really sore up until yesterday, still sore, but not as bad, and I'm experiencing diarrhea as of this morning. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm wondering if I should call my OB to have blood drawn so I can seek treatment if I'm not pregnant. Thoughts?

Re: Flu-Like Body Aches

  • So your currently not pregnant or you're asking if these are pregnancy "symptoms"? No one here can tell you if you are indeed pregnant. You may have a cold. See a doctor if you're worried about being sick or need medication. Hope you feel better.

POAS. I got a positive more than 2 days before my missed period. They say if you have enough of the hormones in your system to cause any symptoms there should be enough to get a positive.

My understanding is that unless you are extremely dehydrated they can't do anything for the flu so I'd just rest up.

    Good luck!

If you're indeed pregnant and feeling symptoms you can turn a test positive. So, POAS. No one here can tell you if you are pregnant. You may just have..... The flu.
  • 2 days out from your periods means you could likely turn a sensitive test if you are pregnant. FWIW, body aches arent a typical symptom of early pregnancy. POAS, its the only way you'll get an answer
  • If you have flu-like symptoms, take a pregnancy test.  If it is negative, go to the doctor.  The flu should not be trifled with, and they can give you tamiflu that may decrease the length of your illness if you get there fast enough.
