Avery or hazel ?? Help!

I love the name avery grace for a girl's name. But I also love hazel. But not hazel grace. I need help choosing a name!

Hazel all day long. Personally, I think Hazel Grace is beautiful but you could also go with another classic, single syllable middle name like Hazel Jane.

Thank you all! I do love hazel. The reason why I don't want to use the name hazel grace is because I feel like I am copying it right from the fault in our stars. My last name is rathbun so I really like short and simple name . I have a son named Noah James.

Hazel always over Avery which is the equivalent of Ashley in the 80's/90's.

I wouldn't do Hazel Grace for the exact reason you stated

I love Hazel! You need to be careful with a color name when picking a middle name. Dont make it look like adjective and noun.

I would choose Hazel over Avery, but I wouldn't use Hazel Grace just because The Fault in Our Stars is the first thing that came to mind.

I wouldn't worry about The Fault in Our Stars connection. It's not a historically important piece of literature, it's just a book that was turned into a movie because sad stuff sells movie tickets. In a few years no one will connect the two.

Hazel for sure. I like colour names. I like botanical names. Hazel fits both.

I try not to judge too much on gender-bending name choices - but Avery is SUCH a boy's name.

That's what I keep thinking. I'm not very fond of the middle name grace but my husband says the name is a no go unless it's hazel grace. I think it's a beautiful name but I just worry that everybody will associate the name to the movie.
