Believe it or not distraction can be very helpful during labor. There's plenty of people who have started threads on here while they are in labor. It seems so petty to have picked on her. Feeling like you need an epidural isn't something you have to really on your doctor to tell you. It's really a personal choice & isn't a requirement for giving birth. If someone is trying to give birth without an epidural they may reach a threshold where they feel like they are going to give up then they choose to either get it or not. I don't think that's a reason to laugh at her. Just because you may have already decided that you plan on getting an epidural ASAP doesn't mean everybody else has. There are some very immature & unempathetic women on here. Good luck with your births & perineums. Maybe you'll have nurses as sympathetic as you are.
Why not use your phone?..if that helped her and distracted her..but then again im sure right now shes cuddling her new baby not giving a shit about what people on this"board" are saying haha

Um, what? Are you actually wishing tears and mean nurses on people? How does that make you more mature or empathetic?
Is "good luck with your perineums" the new GBCB? If so, very unique.
I can personally attest to being an awesome, compassionate human being. I still had 2nd & 3rd degree tears during labor.
Conclusion: snarky or hilarious behavior on the internet does not count one iota for a) getting pregnant b) staying pregnant c) avoiding labor complications or conditions.
It does, however, make for fun posting & making lasting friendships on TB.

ahhh if only all the kumbiyas (I'm not even going to pretend I spelled that correctly!) could save our vaginias, the world would be a better place
And yes @PrimRoseMama I think everyone here would agree you are pretty amazeballs

Our family of 5 is complete!! Love our boys!
ETA I'll be right here on the edge of my seat.
Did someone actually just wish everyone luck on their perineums? That's....weird.
I lurk. I snark. I offer sound advice if you're not BSC. You may not like me. I'm okay with it.
