This is a weekly check-in for those in their 2nd trimester: weeks 14 through the end of week 27.

Congrats to all the strong ladies who have made it this far! It's such a great feeling and we've all accomplished so much! We are now 1 week closer to the end of this especially long journey we call "infertility".

Please post below a little about yourself, how many beans you have growing inside, if you have found out the sex(es) and what your EDD is. Please also let us know how far you've made it on your journey and when your next appt is and what for.

Hi this is my 1st 2nd ti check in! Could I be added @krbjoy? I'm 14w 2d with one bean EDD 5/28/16 We don't know the gender yet!

I have been traveling for the past 10 days and am very anxious to get home tomorrow. Next appointment is a routine monthly with OB next Wednesday. I'm excited to hear the heartbeat again and for DH to hear it for the first time!

Hi ladies! And welcome @NB817 ! Lots of appointments coming up on my end. I have a monthly follow-up with my GP on Friday, and my first OB appointment next Monday, and my anatomy scan on the 11th! Very excited about all that. I've been doing well except for some constipation-related issues last week. All better now. I feel like my belly is growing exponentially these days (I'm 18 weeks now). Took advantage of black friday sales to order a video baby monitor, and the crib we bought two weeks ago (exactly 13 days before the sale) went on quite the sale. I was initially pissed, but then realized the store we bought it at has a 14-day price warranty...so we got $730 back! I was pretty excited about that!

@NB817 Welcome to the second tri!

@KidShrink Wow, you got a lot of money back! I was thinking DH and I should have bought at least a crib on black Friday or cyber Monday but we didn't I really hope we don't regret it. By the time I thought about it it was a little too late, Plus we haven't really looked around at anything yet.

My next appointment is December 14th for my OB and we have an anatomy scan on December 21!

Welcome @AdorkablePixie and @NB817! 

We had our anatomy scan today. So exciting. Everything looks right on schedule. She's definitely a girl. It was crazy seeing her move all around and I don't even notice yet. We saw her stretch and yawn. Even got the 3D image...which used to be creepy to me, now it's my favorite thing in the whole world! She's just so precious and I can't believe how time is flying. 

My MIL has begun shower planning. A date and venue has been chosen. So very hard for me to relent control...I'm used to throwing the showers...all I need to do is get a guest list together. Still need to get on a registry. Also need to stop buying things lol. Well, I've mostly been purchasing items for the nursery. None of the big things yet. Still making those decisions. Still working on clearing out the old office where the nursery will be. Working on it.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! It was pretty good for us. Got to see some out of town friends and family. ate all my favorite Thanksgiving foods...all good..

@krbjoy Thanks. I cannot wait for my anatomy scan!! I love the 3D images. I think I'm going to pay to have the 3D/4D ultrasound separate because I really REALLY want that. My two best friends already starting discussing my shower too. I asked them to include my cousin and mother in law as well.

Things are going well over here. We graduated out of our perinatalogist appointments since baby boy looks great. Our anatomy scan went great and so did the so-to-speak "IVF baby" heart check.

We leave on Sunday on Maui for our babymoon too. Yay!

On a different note, @efhoping2010, I am thinking of you and hope the coming weeks bring better news. My heart is with you.

Hey all, nothing new here, still doing well. Welcome to the newbies!

So I keep hearing about this Ivf baby and the heart checks, but my doctors have never mentioned this before??

Still just waiting for my next appt in 2 weeks- I'm doing the glucose test and having another ultrasound (yay!).

@CTinNV thank you for the kind thoughts, that really means a lot

Seeing the MFM and also the pediatric cardiologist on December 30.

We will know more then about severity of Baby B's defect and future plans for delivery after those two appointments.

Excited to be moving closer to viability even with these issues.
