6 month old...not babbling?

Had ds 6 month check up yesterday. He is hitting all of his milestones except for babbling. Doc asked if he is saying da da da da or ba ba ba ba and he is not. She didnt seem too concerned but now i am. I checked my daughters baby book and her first "da da" was around 8 months

Are your 6 month olds all babbling?

I wasnt even looking for him to do this yet. Thought it was still early but guess i was wrong

"Babbling" for ages now. Just turned 6 months

Mine is not. Ped isn't concerned at all and says that comes closet to 8-9 months om average. I was concerned too though.

Mine just selectively coos. Pretty sure she's a introvert just like her parents!

Everybody is different. My dd is 6mo now but has been saying dada and hey since about 3mo old. She's around more adults than babies so she emulates what she's around. Your ds may be around more children or simply not talk when anyone is around.
