GTKY: Are you traveling or staying local for Thanksgiving? What's your favorite turkey day food?
We are staying local this year. My in-laws and possibly my parents are coming to visit though. We will also be hosting a few of the guys in H's squadron who aren't going home. I love cooking and hosting Thanksgiving, it's one of my favorite holidays! My favorite turkey day food is my sweet potato casserole and stuffing.
@AL_TwinCities CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I'm over here crying for you as I read your post!!!! Happy and healthy 9 months to you!!!!
@KyCade3013 congratulations! I was also wondering who that other poster was. Lol. I was like.."a drive-by that knows where to post???" Lol.
Happy Friday!!!
Month/Cycle: 7/6
CD/DPO: 24/8
Timing: 0, -3, -5
Testing Plans: 13 dpo
R/R/CS: had 3 days declining temps and then went back up a bit. Nothing below the cover line nor a huge spike. First full cycle charting so interested to see what will happen. Have absolutely zero symptoms of any kind. that makes it pretty easy to not make myself go bsc with ss
Had to set a full-blown alarm on my phone for my 3 am time. My fit bit alarm had been working but lately I've been sleeping straight through it.
GTKY: Are you traveling or staying local for Thanksgiving? What's your favorite turkey day food? We are driving about 2 hours north. I love all the food. All of it. Lol My must-haves though are green-bean casserole, home-made Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes.
Testing Plans: BFN today, was expecting that since it's so early but it was still very disappointing and emotional. Not testing until next Sunday now which will be a couple days past AF due.
R/R/CS: No real noticeable symptoms the past couple days. The signs could easily be PMS symptoms.
GTKY: Are you traveling or staying local for Thanksgiving? What's your favorite turkey day food?
Traveling to our hometown and doing Thanksgiving with both sides of the family, which is nice to have just 1 big meal! My favorite Thanksgiving food is mashed potatoes.
CD/DPO: 19/4 (I think...first month so I'm sure I'm off a bit)
Timing: -7, -4, -3, +2
Testing Plans: Probably just going to wait and see if AF shows up since this is my first month TTC and I'm sure my body is still out of whack from BCP. But if my willpower fails, I will test on the Sunday after Thanksgiving (day before AF expected).
R/R/CS: Feeling crappy this week due to a UTI that decided to show up this week. Also, trying not to constantly symptom spot. One side of my brain is like "Oh maybe that's a sign!" and the other side is like "NO. Shut up."
GTKY: Are you traveling or staying local for Thanksgiving? What's your favorite turkey day food? I'm lucky enough that my family is all local, so not going too far for Thanksgiving. DH has to work unfortunately Favorite food is stuffing and pumpkin pie!
Me: 28 | DH: 31 Together since 2006 | Married May 2015 TTC #1 since November 2015 BFP 5/17/16 | EDD 1/27/17 | Born 2/4/17
R/R/CS: Nothing much. Just waiting...and trying not to think about it.
GTKY: Are you traveling or staying local for Thanksgiving? What's your favorite turkey day food? We are staying in town and DH's parents are coming from KC. We have lunch with his family and dinner with mine. My aunt makes the BEST mashed potatoes and I look forward to them every year.
Testing Plans: BFNs the last few days. Tomorrow was my planned test day so DH could be with me, so I'll be testing again tomorrow morning.
R/R/CS: I'm having such an emotionally blah week. I know it's still early to get a BFP, but it's getting harder and harder to see the other BFPs. I am really happy for others who got theirs, and I know that there's not like a limited number of babies to have, but it makes me feel more and more left behind. That's one of many other things that made me just want to stay warm under the covers this morning and just not adult.
GTKY: Are you traveling or staying local for Thanksgiving? What's your favorite turkey day food?
Staying local. We live in the same town as my parents and go there for Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. I think my favorite food is the stuffing A family friend also makes a bomb ass ham but we don't get that every year.
@AL_TwinCities seriously just so happy for you!!! It brings a smile to my face every time I see that you got a BFP!! Damn hormones are going to have me in tears over this too haha!
@AL_TwinCities I cannot say how happy I am for you. I lurked even before TTC and I know this has been quite a journey for you. I think your reveal to DH is absolutely beautiful and I hope you get someone to record it. I wish you all the best and a H&H 9 months. Hope to see you posting on the BMB
@KyCade3013 congratulations and H&H 9 months to you.
@AL_TwinCities - holy crap!!! My jaw literally dropped when I saw your TW & BFP mentioned warning!! Holy crap!! I am so beyond happy for you!! I read your post about if you got AF there be no vacay booty in DC & I'm so glad that you got a positive!! Please keep us updated about how you are doing!! So awesome! Totally put a smile on my face! I'm driving to Baltimore today, I'll high five you in my car going through DC!!
CD/DPO: 21 (counting from beginning of early MC)/3 DPO
Timing: -3, -1, 0, +1
Testing Plans: I'm only pretty sure I O'd on 11/17 (based on positive OPK and mild one-sided cramping). I've had mild implantation symptoms during my other two pregnancies so I'm waiting to see if I have that again. If not, I'll probably TRY to wait until the Saturday after Thanksgiving if I can.
R/R/CS: I'm really wishing I would've stayed on top of temping this cycle. It was my first month of temping/using ovulation test strips and I'm sooo bad at remembering to take my temp before I sit up. Kind of frustrated with myself.
GTKY: Are you traveling or staying local for Thanksgiving? What's your favorite turkey day food?
No traveling for me! DH and I are going to visit our families but they all live closeby. My favorite turkey day food is anything with potatoes... I'm not a big meat eater, though I do love leftover turkey sandwiches!!

"Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm." -Winston Churchill
@bcooke314 I kind of think that's the reason behind the sensitive BBT, though - those temperature fluctuations at the hundredths are a big deal depending on where you are in your cycle. From what I've read, it seems like where you are at 5DPO a dip like yours today isn't really indicative of much, but if it went up by that much or down around ovulation or the end of your cycle, it would be indicative of a shift. To answer your question, I don't believe you can change the scale - it gets more or less expansive depending on how high or low your extremes are.
It's not really an issue of the sensitivity because either way it is about a 2-tenths drop. It has to do with the scale on FF. They make it look like 2-tenths is a huge drop because the scale only includes 1 degree right now. My paper chart is much easier to interpret, for me, because it squishes the numbers together and I can see that I'm hovering around one number before and another after O. On FF it looks like I have such big fluctuations sometimes. So I really wish I could adjust the scale on FF
Congratulations @AL_TwinCities!!!! Thank you for sharing your story, it is so nice to see the BFPs from non newbies. I love your plans to tell H!! I'm not that far from the airport and will be probably thinking ab you guys as I watch the planes land.
Month/Cycle:5/5
CD/DPO: 14/2 or 3
Timing: +3, +2, 0
Testing Plans: waiting till I get un-dashed crosshairs
R/R/CS: if FF is correct then I O'd a week earlier than expected. Waiting for in-dashed cross hairs which I get if I have another elevated temp tomorrow and pushed my O date to CD 13. Chart attached for those who wish to see it.
GTKY: staying home. DH and I are hosting our first thanksgiving this year! Favorite food would have to be mashed potatoes!!!!
Who knew that an internet community could make me laugh, cry and genuinely feel so loved. You guys are awesome - thank you!!!!

Huge congratulations @AL_TWINCITIES!! Your plan for your husband had me tear up too! And another congrats to @KyCade3013! Im so excited for you!
Month/Cycle: 6/5
CD/DPO: 24/11
Timing:-2,-1,0
Testing Plans: Was going to wait until tomorrow but caved and got a BFN this morning.
R/R/CS: Had a small dip in temp this morning and now I am all crampy. I think AF is knocking. Not giving up all hope just yet until I see what my temp does tomorrow,
GTKY: Are you traveling or staying local for Thanksgiving? What's your favorite turkey day food? First year hosting Thanksgiving at my house. Excited and nervous. My favorite food is this green jello stuff my mom makes that is so delicious. DH refuses to admit how good it is but he knows.
Month/Cycle: 4/3 CD/DPO: 29/6 Timing: -4, +1 Testing Plans: Not unless FF says to test... is that something FF will tell me to do? R/R/CS: TGIF. This week has been tough with a friend who is in a bad relationship but just found out she's pregnant. I love her dearly, but she was just trying to get out of the relationship and then she found out. I'm so mad at him and can't even imagine what she's going through, so I'm just trying to be supportive of her and her baby. GTKY: Are you traveling or staying local for Thanksgiving? What's your favorite turkey day food? Staying local. My parents have us this Thanksgiving, and Christmas is with his parents. Mashed potatoes and stuffing all the way! And don't mess with the stuffing... just regular stuffing is fine. Once my late grandfather added canned oysters to the stuffing...

@mrsdee15 I do believe FF will show you an ideal test day on the calendar. Most ladies here will test around 10dpo. I am sorry about your friend! That is a really tough situation Also I am a mashed potato lover!!!
@mrsdee15 FF will show you with a white calendar square. For some reason, mine is suggesting I test at 16 dpo! WTF? My LP is usually 12 days, so I have no idea why they're suggesting I wait that long.
Congratulations, @AL_TwinCities! What an amazing and wonderful story and like many others here, I totally teared up when I read your plan to tell your DH! So, so awesome!
I knew there would be some more BFPs, this has been a good month for them! Congrats @AL_TwinCities and @KyCade3013!! H&H to both of you!!
@PrettyPalomino sorry about AF I was hoping you'd get your BFP this month. I'm waiting out AF now, looks like we're close in cycles. See ya over at WTO soon.
Expecting baby #1 August 2016
Already have three furbabies- Blake, Sydney, and Chester
Testing Plans: hoping to hold out for 10dpo... Though there are some bad influences here who make me want to test sooner!
R/R/CS: ugh! I slept awfully (my backs been bothering me the last few days, and hotel bed did not help) and I had to wake up extra early for Day 1 of the walk today, so I'm trying not to read too much into my temp drop below cover. Key word there is trying!
GTKY: we're going to do Turkey Day at my parents house (we alternate Thanksgiving and Christmas with our families). I'll just drive back with my mom on Sunday when the walk is over, and stay there through the holiday. DH flys in Wednesday night. Thanksgiving food I am super weird about! I looooooovvveeeeee cooking it (and I get to this year), but I don't like any of it. Other than Pillsbury Crescent Rolls.

R/R/CS: I feel like such a moron for testing at 5 DPO. But, that's what I did, and I hopefully learned my lesson. I'm just so excited...and like torturing myself I guess. I also haven't been sleeping good at all at night. DH woke me up at 3:30am this morning, and we both couldn't go back to sleep. Watched tv until it was time to get ready for work, so I took my BBT at the normal time, but it wasn't right after waking up...ugh. I had a temp drop again, but luckily still above the line. Still hopeful at this point...
