really? Ryeleigh.. why? i voted Riley, because that is how you correctly spell the name. changing the spelling of the name doesn't make it unique. it makes it ridiculous IMO.
I would spell it correctly...Riley. There is no need to misspell names just for the sake of being different. Riley is a very nice name, honor it with the correct spelling :-)
Why are ladies so nasty to each other on these threads? I've been to several so far and every post is answered back with a condescending or sarcastic response. Its so unnecessary and the reason I don't post. This site, I thought was to support one another in the time of receiving what is supposed to be the best and most precious gift in the world. I find it quite sad actually.

But yet you still posted... No where does it say on TB that every single response has to be all sunshine and rainbows. A little humor and sarcasm is good for ya, try it out sometime. I've seen lots of support for women who are going through/have gone through actual problems, unfortunate losses, and high risk pregnancies--not how to misspell a child's name.

I must have missed where it says this is a support group. It is a community of women with something in common and support can be a by product of the relationships formed here. If you posted regularly here you would see that the women are incredibly supportive and to say otherwise is total BS. Looks like someone is still pissed her own baby name thread didn't recieve the replies she wanted!

Before this thread gets closed and you get warnings/banned/gbcb'd, you should read this:
"Women disagreeing are not warring. Sharing the singular fact of having reproduced does not make any two people alike, and the insistence that it should is patronising. But what we can insist upon is peaceful conduct, kindness even in disagreement, and real support – like bringing meals, helping with the housework, making someone laugh. And more often than not, this is how women support each other, anyway."
Enough with the kumbaya shit. We give real support where support is needed. This doesn't mean we need to pat each other's head and be nice and agreeable about every little thing. This is just another manifestation of "people with vaginas really just need to keep their mouths shut, look pretty, and smile".

Yes dear, that person would be you.
Do not call my friends "cunts".
They are fantastic women who have provided honesty and support on this site for years.
Why don't you go sit yourself down.
You clearly need a time out from the internet.
ETA nice bloat bump lol

Whatever point you were trying to make was totally derailed by your language and tone. In the future if you want to make a point it's best not to make yourself sound so ignorant. @scar28
Edited to add- seriously though, are you ok? You are having a very extreme/borderline scary reaction to a thread in an online forum.
Actually Reilly and Riley are both Irish. The name is actually of a male origin meaning courageous. I love it on a boy and am meh about it on a girl. I am partial to it because that's ds's name:) Aw moment! He's so cute!
Re: Name spelling poll, what do you prefer?!
Congratulations on choosing a name for your baby.
