TTC After a Loss

Introduction (loss mentioned)

Hello all, ive been looking at the board for a while now and just wanted to introduce myself as it would be nice to be able to chat with people that understand the frustrations of TTC after loss.
So a little about me... DH and I have been TTC #1 for 14mths now during which I've had 3 early m/c. I have 3 wks to go before I have a consultation with a prof queen by a specialist at Coventry hospital. I have really long but regular cycles cd49-53 and am currently 5 day late with ad. keep getting a bfn every time I test. I remain doubtful that anything will come from being late this cycle as I don't have the breast tenderness I normally get when pg.

Re: Introduction (loss mentioned)

  • I'm sorry for your losses.

Are you temping to confirm ovulation? it's possible you could be having a longer cycle and ovulated later than you think. I believe the general rule is if you hit CD60 without AF or a BFP to call you doctor.

    Good luck with your appointment!

  • Didn't temp this cycle so just waiting it out for the moment. Feel like I spend forever waiting lol
  • I'm so sorry for your losses :( DH and I are going through our first loss at the moment (I miscarried over the weekend) and I cannot even imagine having to go through 3. You're a stronger person than I am.

I definitely know how you feel when you say you feel as if you're always waiting. My cycles are normally around 50 days as well. Not to say that I don't occasionally get a blessedly short and "normal" cycle of about 28 days but for every short cycle I get I have probably 6+ long cycles. The waiting is terrible!

Hopefully something good comes from you being late this cycle although as R0824H said it's likely you just ovulated later than normal or something of that nature if you've been getting BFNs.

Best of luck with your appointment and I wish you all the best with your TTCAL efforts. Hopefully you get your take-home rainbow baby soon.
