Full to the brim!

So I am in my 13th week of pregnancy (woohoo) this is also my first pregnancy to reach this point so I am still learning! I finally feel like I'm leaving my morning sickness behind one day at a time, but now I am faced with this new, constant feeling of fullness! Like after a handful of grapes I feel like o devoured a whole Christmas dinner, it's driving me a little crazy. To the point where I have to remove my already comfy non wired bra because I feel like internally I am bursting and risk lung collapse! Any advice on relieving this feeling would help! P.S I'm also not over eating, I have no cravings whatsoever and no excessive hunger so I don't think that is the problem...

Re: Full to the brim!

  • I've been having the same problem since about week 5. I'm 14 weeks now. I'm hating to eat and actually am probably under eating as a result. It even happens when I drink just a regular glass of water. I'm going to talk to my doc about it because I'm worried I'm not eating enough! It's so uncomfortable. I totally understand your pain. I've undone my bra many times like you!

  • My secret to eliminate morning sickness and reduce overfilled stomachs is to add more liquid calories (whole milk vs. skim and 100% fruit juice) and eat more small meals throughout the day. At the worst point, I would eat/drink something with calories within 15 minutes of waking up/falling asleep and would have 8-10 mini meals per day (each ranging from 50-300 calories).
  • I sort of tricked myself to eating a small but super delicious meal during my "full" feelings so I could feel like I ate something and enjoy the post-thanksgiving laze.
  • So I just found out this may be reflux so I'm trying gaviscon and Zantac. I'll let you know if it helps!
  • I just started having this feeling yesterday. Let me know if anyone finds a solution.

  • I'm having some improvement with gaviscon after I eat and Zantac 150mg twice daily. Also last night didn't eat anything solid for dinner so that helped too!! It's not perfect but feeling a little better. Still don't have much of an appetite though
  • so glad I found this I was actually going to start a thread on this exact topic. I've been experience this for the past several weeks and it's so bizarre... like other have mentioned I def don't overeat and I feel full for hours! It's really crazy... haven't tried taking anything for it, was kinda hoping it would eventually go away.

  • I have also felt this way. I'm wondering if it's reflux, as I always have nasty phlegm too.
  • I'm in the same boat. I was eating so well the first trimester, and now I can barely have two meals a day without feeling completely full. I just have no appetite now that I'm in my second trimester. I'm not sure what to do because I don't want to deprive baby.
