14 and pregnant

Hello. I'm new to this app. I'm 14 years old and pregnant with my first. I'm almost 36 weeks. I'm putting this baby up for adoption. I havent found a family. What will happen to this baby if no family shows up..... I definitely don't want it. I would have aborted but the 18 year old who knocked me up said he would raise it but has moved outta state and I haven't heard from him. Guess something will come.

  • I wish it was made. I don't wanna be preggers
  • Contact an agency or church and I'm sure they can help guide you towards an adoptive family.
  • Definitely contact your OB & social services? How have you made it to 36w without your parents knowing? Surely a minor that comes up pregnant by an adult raises some red flags at your pediatrician?

Your hospital can help you arrange placement of your baby.

I feel this is MUD too, but in case it's not-- where are your parents/guardians?? Shouldn't they be helping you find adoptive parents if that is what you want? Also an 18 yea old sleeping with a 14 year old is illegal in all 50 states- the father of your baby belongs in jail. If your parents don't know you are pregnant then who is paying for your prenatal care??
  • People are quick to call MUD, and that might be true, but I would hate to think that there is a scared 14 year old mother sitting behind her computer scared because she doesn't know what is going to happen when she has her baby in just a few weeks. Some of the ladies have given you great advice, OP, and I suggest you take it! Even though things did not turn out how you planned (abortion) it really is for the better, because you will give someone a chance at something they might not get otherwise-- having a baby, Thank you for being so brave and going through pregnancy to ultimately give someone that chance. That said, you need to get someone's help ASAP to make sure everything is in place. Like others have said-- talk to family (parents?) for help, talk to social services, talk to your doctor, and find out what you need to do. If worse comes to worse, you CAN leave your baby at the hospital and they will take things from there.

This. The whole thing is sad if it's true.
  • There are waiting lists that take years to adopt a healthy newborn baby. If you truly want to give the baby up for adoption, get in touch with social services and they will help you choose a home for your baby. I say choose because you will have many families to choose from. Good luck.
  • I'm 99% sure this is MUD. Absolutely nothing adds up here. Just in case it's not though, get off your computer and do what the pp suggested.
  • MUD for sure, not written like a 14 year old, and why mention his age unless you wanted a reaction? Surely you would just refer to him as "the father" not "the 18 year old who knocked me up" :-q

  • I don't know what you are all talking about. My parents know and the police know and the hospital knows he's older. What's done is done I'm pregnant. And they did find a family. I'm ready to pop this baby out. I didn't find out the gender cause I just don't care about it. The new parents don't care what the gender is. It's a win win. Thanks y'all.

Sure, yah, that all seems to check out... Best of luck to you, OP

This is all very good news then. This child is the one who doesn't have a choice. I'm glad you made a sound one for him or her. This is the right thing to do.

But forgive the rest of us, something about this entire thread is just highly suspect. Mainly because nothing about your way of expressing yourself is typical of somebody in this situation. So people are just thinking you're either a really bad actor or a really callous person. This is what they're talking about.

I'm just happy that you're telling us the baby has parents ready and equipped to love and raise him waiting in the wings for the best day of their lives. You've done a good thing and given them a huge gift.

And as for the reason that I say we need to shut down this thread and contact authorities is because you saying "Oyeah the police are aware" doesn't mean anything when there is an issue of potential child endangerment. And you might THINK you're an adult but you're not. Not in the eyes of the law and not according to your level of maturity. And I don't think it's our place to be trying to help mitigate or manage a situation where child endangerment laws are concerned. This story SHOULD concern people.
