WAYDTGKU: Nothing. I will start temping this cycle

R/R/CS: I'm sick. So I'm not even bothering to temp. They'll be crazy. I'll start when AF leaves though...

GTKY: What's your favorite song or singer or band?
I always have a tough time with this question..... Evanescence has always been my fave though

WAYDTGKU: still waiting on AF. Trying really hard to cut back on caffeine and just eating healthier in general.

R/R/CS: DS has been fighting a fever since yesterday afternoon and it sucks :( its the first time he's ever been so sick and its making me so sad and paranoid.

GTKY: What's your favorite song or singer or band?
TBH, Backstreet Boys will never ever get old for me. I can listen to them any day.

WAYDTGKU: pretty much all of it.

R/R/CS: one more higher temp and I'll have confirmed ovulation for CD 16. I had two kind of weird ones in there. I'm trusting FF to have it right, and I'm pretty confident because CM and CP are back to a non-fertile status.

GTKY: What's your favorite song or singer or band? I will listen to pretty much anything. Like @MandyBeeSLP, I'm also enjoying Rend Collective at the moment.

WAYDTGKU:  temping and charting, pnv and all the sex once AF is gone

R/R/CS: I'm cranky today. Allergies, AF, moodiness, overtired toddler and home projects are all too much for me today.

GTKY: What's your favorite song or singer or band? Of all time, probably Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and Jeff Buckley.

Also, for those with second thoughts: I was terrified of the way my life was going to change after DS was born because of all the reasons others mentioned: travel, money, etc. You find a way to adjust to your new normal though. After DS we became a one income family and have made it work. And we were able to travel to Puerto Rico for a family vacation when DS was 11 months.

I can be one of those moms that vents on Facebook about the negative stuff. Sometimes you just need to get it out and hear some reassuring words from someone else, but for every one of those negative posts, I could have posted 100 positive ones. I just don't because who wants to hear me constantly bragging about my kid? FWIW, my DS was and is not an easy kid. He didn't sleep through the night til he was 14 months, teething was a nightmare, every developmental milestone made him sleep like shit, he's still not a great napper and he really knows how to test my limits and drive me crazy some days! But, DS is also hilarious, loving, silly, smart and has the best laugh and sense of humor and all that outweighs the bad. But again, if I was constantly posting about funny things he said, people would probably find that more annoying!

  • Thanks to everyone for all the awesome advice and perspective! When I think back to last month when I got 4 BFN, I was so disappointed. I know I really want to have a baby I'm just scared of all the things mentioned in my first post.

I am going to be forced to actually talk to DH about this tonight. When I was texting this morning (before coffee), I accidentally sent a huge vent to DH that was meant for my sister. In that text, I said all the things I"m afraid of and how I'm afraid to talk to DH because I don't want to scare him. Oops. Guess we'll talk about that one when he gets home from work tonight. In reality, he was cool about it and not scared or upset with me, and it is probably a good thing I got my feelings out there about such a big issue.

My favorite song of all time is American Pie by Don McLean...when I was young, my dad would take me through the words and tell stories of what the lyrics meant. I loved it. Now every time I hear it, I can't help but sing it word for word...and its a 9 minute long song.

  • Another rant for my Friday....I recently signed up for short-term disability and I thought it was effective 10/1. I called HR to be sure and nope..not effective until 11/1. So if I get KU before that, my maternity leave won't be covered. Of course, that's a little cart before the horse but it'll give me 60% of my salary so it's kind of a big deal. ***TMI*** And of course today is the day I get EWCM.

R/R/CS: When I told DH that AF was gone, he said "time for all the sex!" I laughed and told him it would likely be almost 2 weeks until I O, and he said we should just "keep going for it until O whether we get burnt out or not" which is a lovely sentiment but I'm not sure he'll feel that way on nights when he gets home from 2 hours of jiu jitsu class and is sore and bruised and we're not in bed until midnight.

GTKY: What's your favorite song or singer or band? This is tough. I'm very much trapped in the 90's. I guess Foo Fighters, because they're the only band I've really consistently loved all through their career.

@Hummingbird125 to share your chart if you're on your phone, just take a screenshot and attach it. If you're on the computer, once logged in to fertility friend, go to my chart, and then underneath it there are several buttons, one of which says share. That will take you to a page where you can copy and paste the html code for the link to your chart. Hope that helps!

@oandmplus1 if you moved around some before you took your temp, that could make it a little higher. It also seems possible that you O'd yesterday, even without a peak reading, but you'll have to see what your temps do the next few days.

@chanfa yes, you can get a positive opk and still have an anovulatory cycle. Your body might produce the LH surge, but not actually O. Why are you worried about an anovulatory cycle though? Have you had them in the past?

@JournoGrl23 I agree with @virginiaham. I think you might have O'd on CD23 and just need one or two more high temps to get cross hairs.

Edited because I got cut off somehow.

@PBorgstede91 Your chart looks normal to me so far. The fluctuations are slight, you just don’t have enough data yet to really see anything. Once you have temped a whole cycle, you should see the biphasic pattern we are all looking for.

@katetastrophem Looks like O could be any day now! FX for you!

@mrsE2015 Its hard to say if that dip and then temp not coming back up means anything. It seems with temping that the temps alone only mean anything when you look at them a few days later. I would expect your temp to go back up to or above the coverline though.

I Have too many favorites! I just discovered Brett Eldridge (country) though and am hooked on a few of his songs right now.

  • @JournoGrl23 if your temp tomorrow is 97.45 or higher I think you would get CH for CD23. You can try entering 98 for tomorrow and see what it does?
  • @chanfa try not to worry! I think everybody's chart looks kinda crazy before O. It won't look like a "normal" chart until FF gives you those cross hairs.
And yeah, unfortunately, with coming off BC recently, you can't really know what to expect. Stick with the temping, though! In the long run it will help.

This is the first month my chart has been some what normal looking... I think.. This is also my first month using FF. Can anyone explain what this large dip is? And with the slight rise could that be showing that I O if it continues to go up? Or does it need to be higher than my previous temps? The examples charts on FF are not helping me :( Thanks ladies.

  • @jennifer0428 thank you, that's a great tip! I entered multiple temps just to see and it looks like as long as it's 97.18 or higher then it'll show I Oed on CD 23. I really hope I have a temp above that.
  • @mrsE2015 a lot of people do get a large temp drop right when they O, and then some women, (myself included) usually have a slow rise after O, so maybe you have both of those things? Your CM and CP both seem to indicate that you have just O'd or are about to. Unfortunately, there's no way to know for sure until you get a few more days' temps.
Short answer- I wouldn't be concerned about the temp drop.
