Temping/Nightmares

Hey guys! Total n00b here. 

I try to temp at the same time (6am) but the thing is, sometimes my alarm goes off mid night-terror. Okay night terror is a slight exaggeration... but basically I wake up soaked in sweat. It happened today (chart stalk pls) and my temp seemed high... what do you guys do in that instance?

Agree that you should note it on your chart - and try again for the next few days.  A bad night of sleep can definitely give you a temperature spike for one day.

Although you may not have the prettiest chart, it's still possible to see a thermal shift following ovulation. And if this is your first month temping, it could just be a little anxiety causing the rocky temps. If after another cycle or two (if you haven't gotten a BFP by then) you're still seeing rocky temps, I would suggest switching to temping vaginally.

I know that sucks to not have a more clear cut answer, but you just have to give it time.

Thanks! Yes first month temping. I think the real issue is a really cheap 10 second 1 decimal place thermometer that favours temps. I am hoping to see a general increase in temps by .5 or 1 degree after O and if I don't see that, I'm tossing this thermometer in the garbage! I have a new super awesome BBT thermometer in the mail but it looks like I'll only get it in 4 weeks

 

Just going to go on CM and OPK results this month probably. Not counting on CHs.
