Busted... :-(

Had TB up on my computer screen on accident when my boss walked in.  Ahhh.  I want to cry.  No one knows... or should I say knew... They didn't ask about it... 

At least I was not on an embarrassing thread.  I was reading a basic pregnancy thread...

No point to this post other than to clutter the board.  

Can you tell me something to make me feel better?

This is always my fear when I have to share my screen! I work from home, so I have to do this a lot.

Maybe no one noticed? Or maybe they aren't quick enough to catch on? You never know!!

I'm busted with my family because some family members don't know how to keep their mouth shut. 

Aside from that though - you weren't reprimanded for "surfing" or something were you? Are you able to discuss it with your boss and plans? I mean I'm sure they recognize it's early. I hope if they addressed it they had tact. 

I'm trying to think of somehting to make you feel better...

Ohh, the other day my DD put one of her toy cats in the cat box. I was very much stuck between amused/grossed out. (Especially since H hasn't been as diligent with scooping as I normally am).

It was a female.... I would be shocked if she didn't notice... Maybe she is on her computer right now trying to find me on TB.

Ugh.  No.  We can surf the internet "occasionally".  And - I don't have cats.  But you are staying away from the litter box, right?  Isn't that a pregnancy no-no?  (Says the I don't have a cat lady).

ha! yes definitely staying away from the litter box! 
(FUN FACT they can test if you are immune/have had toxoplasmosis - because I worked in the pet industry and have had pets all my life, my dr was convinced I'd probably had it and would be fine, but he tested my blood and turned out I'm not immune so no litter for me!) 

Aside from walking by the box a couple times a day, I steer clear. 

I used a bag doggy poop style to pick DD's toy out of there and tossed it right in the washing machine .

I don't think this is you busted.  You could be on there for your sister/friend/etc. after all, couldn't you?

Even if you were immune, I wouldn't admit it! (I'm not) There has to be some perks to being pregnant, right??

AAHHHH that's the worst! Maybe that person will be understanding and let you bring it up when your ready.  FX.  I'm going to a party Halloween weekend with my coworkers open bar.  This should be fun LOL

Maybe she won't say anything about it since she hasn't already. It's not the worst thing in the world for someone to find out before you're ready...when I was pregnant with DD, I was only like 7 weeks along and had hardly told anyone and my friend needed to come stay with us because she didn't have anywhere to live for a few days. After a couple of days she flat out asked me if I was pregnant (I love this friend but she's not the first person I would have wanted to tell). Then she said, "I could tell you were getting pudgy!" Ummm, excuse ME, but I had not gained any weight yet and I didn't even have a blump! I was annoyed. But whatever, it all worked out in the end. (We're still friends.)

My boss asked me around when I found out if I was pregnant. I was injured at work, have been out since, and my boss goes "you want some Motrin?" I wouldn't take it and go I stick to Tylenol . Then a few days later asked me if I was and I told her no. She goes "I'm probably being inappropriate and let me know if I am". Haha she's so nice, I just hadn't even had an ultrasound yet.

I had two after hours work events during week 4 and again during week 5...I tried to stay far away from my boss, but during the week 5 event said "Are you drinking water again? Is there something you need to tell me?" I couldn't believe it! I didn't admit anything, just said I don't know, I'm not sure!

I was totally busted by my best friend who noticed me (not too smoothly) trying to pass the wine we were poured at a tasting counter off to DH. She was like "I noticed you avoiding your wine." I told her I didn't know what she was talking about, but she totally knows...

I got busted last week at happy hour when I had ginger ale. one of my close friends was there and knows and couldn't stop smirking. jerks. lol

A stupid waitress was serving a group of 20+ for an after hours work function. I went to the back and asked her for some ginger ale with a lemon wedge. When she was distributing drinks she was trying to find me and said where is the pregnant lady!? WTF A few people heard and I just brushed it off and denied, told everyone she is a rude cow for assuming. I think I am Ok for now, but as soon as I start showing I bet those 4 ppl will be the ones who ask haha! I was close to 6 weeks then.

Wait... you have other kids, right? You could easily be on The Bump on a birth month board for one of your other children, right? With my first especially, I did a lot of reading during the baby days. Or was it really obvious that you were on a pregnancy specific discussion?

And, does your boss have kids? She may have no idea what The Bump is...

Haha. My boss has probably seen TB screen in my office, but she's 70+ years old so I doubt she knows what it is.

Also related to this thread - my cats are indoor-only so I'm not worried about toxoplasmosis. I also don't trust DH with the litter box (it would never stay clean enough!). So I'm scooping through the morning sickness - so much fun!
