Hi @NB817 Thank you for taking this over. I know I was scarce last week but getting sick traveling took a lot out of me .  Everything is good with me and baby Yay!!! Hope you guys continue to do well on this journey and I can't wait to see you in the second tri!!!

Great job @NB817! Thanks for taking over. I would have but this will be my last week here!

Had my scanning u/s today. Everything went great! Baby looks so big now. Could see lots of features and movement! I cried. We also did the blood work and should have results next week some time. Meaning we should know the sex too! It's all moving so quickly now.

My update: not much going on here, except for thinking I was doing better and figuring I could try and stop dicletin, only to end up with full blown morning sickness on Friday. Not making that mistake again anytime soon! It was also my bday yesterday (turned 31), and I've now experienced the 'it's your birthday, let's give you stuff for baby!'. We had a few close friends over yesterday for my bday/canadian thanksgiving, and they were amazing.

QOTW: my FIL! He's been hoping for grandkids for...almost 5 years (since we got engaged), and has had this weeklong trip to Disney planned for his hypothetical grandkids for the longest time. While we told most other close friends and family on the phone (because we live far from them), we knew we were going to visit him and purposely waited to tell him in person. Got it on video, which was awesome

@kidshrink that's adorable that your FIL is that excited about grandkids! I bet it was such a special moment!

@NB817 I wasn't tagged in this post. I am due in May with one.

I had my 8 week ulstrasound yesterday. Baby is measuring exactly 8 weeks and the heartbeat was at 167bpm.

QOTW: I am most excited to tell our families. Mainly his mom and my mom. That won't happen until November.

@KidShrink Happy belated birthday!! I think maybe we won't tell people we are pregnant until after my birthday, so I actually get stuff for me. HAHA That's selfish.. I know. I bet your FIL is so excited!

@krbjoy That is so exciting that you get to find out the sex!! We won't find out until December. It seems like so far away! lol

@adorkablepixie YAY for a great 8 week u/s and strong heartbeat!! You have so much self control to not tell your family yet!!! I'm seriously impressed!!

@NB817 I do now but it wasn't showing up earlier for some reason. Weird. It is not easy not telling them. We are both dying to tell them! I want to do it in a creative way with most of the family present though and I feel like Thanksgiving would be an awesome time. If it works out, we have a trip planned to Mexico over Thanksgiving for my birthday, so I am hoping we can cancel it.

@NB817 thank you for taking over.
I had my 10wk ultrasound yesterday and everything looked great. Today I started spotting blood so I freaked out. I went back to the doctor and everything looked fine. My pelvic exam was normal and ultrasound showed babies looking great. Don't know why I'm spotting but it is so nerve wrecking. Just kind of freaking out still because the bleeding had stopped and now it restarted but darker. I hope it only restarted because of irritation from the pelvic exam. Has anyone here had spotting during their pregnancies?

I have my first OB appointment on Thursday, I'm very excited for that. Finally feeling better and having less pain with normal activities like walking around from the large cysts. Starting to feel less tired but more nauseous. For some reason all my morning sickness is in the evening around bedtime. I feel sort of silly but it makes me feel a little bit better about the pregnancy now that I am feeling nauseous.

QOTW: I was most excited to tell my little sister. She has been amazingly supportive throughout the fertility treatments and everything last winter.

@MelenaZ I think it is pretty normal to spot, especially if it isn't bright red. The darker it is the older it is. If you're really concerned, I'm sure your doctor would see you again and give you some assurance.

@kistra I know what you mean about the nausea. I haven't really had any. My stomach gets iffy if I get really hungry, but as soon as I take a bite or two of food I feel great. I guess that could be considered nauseas though? I treasure every symptom I have. lol I have been waiting so long for this! I know a lot of people who would complain and I'm just like... my bbs hurt.. YAY! I am so tired, I love this! haha

@adorkablepixie when is your b-day?? Mine is ON Thanksgiving this year! I hope you can change your trip so you can share the big news with them all!

@Melenaz I'm sorry you are spotting. That is terrifying but I agree it's pretty common and that your doctor should be willing to see you more. Hopefully it stops soon! HUGS!

@kistra I know what you mean by glad to have nausea. I keep wishing I had some because it makes seem like it's all going okay in there!

I have an OB appointment today because the receptionist told me I have to have annual and my OB has to confirm pregnancy himself before I can schedule first u/s. I think she's incorrect and tried to get her to actually go ask the doc but she didn't. I'm frustrated but love my actual OB so I'm anxious to tell him what his staff is saying (I used to teach with his wife so I know him on a personal level and can talk to him about this stuff). I also have another u/s with RE tomorrow (Thursday) which will be my last with them. I'm anxious to see little bean again and make sure everything is okay. I've had a bad cold for the past 4 days so that makes me nervous for baby. Silly I know.

QOTW: I was really excited to tell my group of mommy friends. They've been a huge support in IF and were beyond excited for me.

@NB817 Mine was on Thanksgiving last year!! Mine is the 27. It sounds like the receptionist is not correct. My doctors receptionist put me down as a confirmation of pregnancy but when I called to discuss something with one of the midwives she saw it and changed it to a regular OB checkup. I love getting ultrasounds!

@adorkablepixie AHHHHHHHHHHHH we are one day apart!! How funny will that be if our little beans are also one day apart!!! LOL I actually know when my bean will be arriving because I am scheduled C-section and my OB confirmed the date with me at appointment yesterday!
