Sorry your sister sucks... My daughter climbs trees in tiaras and heels. It's easy. Seriously. You're a tomboy and you would like her to be also? Show her the way. That doesn't mean she'll accept it though. I hope she's not disappointed with her parents

I don't understand why you're assuming you won't be able to bond with her just because she's born a little girl. She's an individual human being, not the sum of her reproductive organs. 

Maybe seeing her as a multi-faceted, complex and fascinating human being and not just A Girl will help? Feelings over your baby's sex are normal but to say you don't want her is heartbreaking. My daughter is kicking me right now and all i can think is how lucky i am that she's inside me and not somebody else.

Sounds like you picked the wrong husband if you think he will refuse to bond with his own daughter.

I'm glad I didn't have this issue with any of my four children.

Your husband should "want" to do things with each child no matter the gender. For all you know your husband may like tea parties and princesses. You shouldn't write him off so quickly.

What ticks me off is that there is a thread. And the title of this thread doesnt warn the reader what its about. So here I am gettinh upset over something I never would have read willingly.
