I had a natural miscarriage on 9/7/15 (4 weeks ago TODAY) I am STILL bleeding.
I saw my doctor a week ago and she didn't seem too concerned. I felt like it was almost over last week because it was so light, then BAM it came back with full force on Saturday night. I have contacted the doctor's office and waiting for a call back. Could this just be my period or is it still miscarriage bleeding ? I had lab work done last week and I still had HCG levels showing, but much much lower than before. I am supposed to go back this week for another blood draw.
Is anyone in the same boat as I am ? It just feels weird that the bleeding is continuing after this long.

The biggest concern with prolonged bleeding is retained tissue. Your OB's nurse may be right, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to be more proactive about things. Ideally, this would mean an u/s and a quantitative hcg level. However, if your OB's office is being very laid back, I would suggest taking an HPT today and if it is positive, take another in a week. If that one is still positive and you are still bleeding, call and insist on an u/s and hcg level specifically to check for retained tissue. If this resurgence of bleeding is truly your period, your hcg should be near zero and the bleeding should have tapered off significantly by the end of the week. Best of luck.
