45 and TTC

I've Never had children and never tried.. didn't meet "the one" when in my 20s/30s. fiancé is 43 has DD 19 and he suggested we try.. I'm sure the doctor gave a shifty glance at my age on his screen when I said we were TTC! then he said just go for it and see what happens... Not seen anyone my age on here..

    Welcome and good luck!!  We have a 40+ check-in (when I remember to post it), so that would be a good place to chat with ladies who are even more mature than the amazing 35+ ladies who frequent the board.  :)

    7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)
    3/2014 - TTC #2, return to RE 7/2014
    12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
    First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
    Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)

    Just a quick inspirational story for you. My SO's cousin is 42 and just had her first. She didn't meet her husband until she was 40, so she didn't start TTC until then. Anyways, Good luck to you and welcome.

    HSG 9/18/14 = Tubes open but T shaped uterus
    IUI #1... 1/6/2015 + 50mg Clomid = BFN
    IUI #2... 1/29 & 30/2015 + 50mg Clomid +Tigger +Progesterone = BFN
    3/14 BFFP! Natural w/acupuncture & herbs only
    EDD = 11/22/15;  No heartbeat = 7/21/15

    Follistim + TI (3x): All BFNs
    Follistim + IUI (1x): BFN 
    IVF #1: 17 retrieved,15 fertilized, Day 3: 15, Day 5/6: 3 biopsied
    Result; 1 frozen blast (inconclusive PGS results)
    IVF #2; ER: 6/22 16 retrieved, 6/25: 5 transferred (CP), 2 frozen

    :) Welcome! I'm 41 years young and TTC. It's good to see so many 40+ on here and I wish you all the best! My great grandmother, born in 1888, had a healthy child at age 45.
