Twin pregnancy w/ incompetent cervix- normal singleton pregnancy afterwards possible?
Wow I haven't been here in soooo long. I also can't believe this question is crossing my mind because for the past 14 months I swore we were done after having the boys... The first year of twin parenthood is no joke, as you all know! Whew! Anyway, wondering if anyone has experience in this area? I had an incompetent cervix (likely due to a surgery on my cervix a year before we got pregnant) during my pregnancy and was in bedrest from 21 weeks on with the boys (they were born at 37 weeks after all that bedrest- a miracle!), and I'm wondering if it would be similar IF we got pregnant again with a singleton? I can't imagine being on bedrest that long again and having two toddlers to take care of, I would feel awful for my boys. My OB said she's seen women go through rough twin pregnancies with IC & then follow it with a perfect singleton pregnancy... I just don't know how common that is. Any experience?
